Ended up having to cancel both buffets as I had booked them slightly too early in that they had to be used by 1/9and we only get there on 28/8 and would you believe it those dates are blackout dates because of labour day weekend!!!Grrrr.. had no luck either with Virgin, went to book seats at 90 days only to find out can only book them from 25th June (60 days). Will book myvegas rewards towards the end of the week instead:(

we had Aria dinner and Bellagio lunch last October and they were not good on weekends then from what I recall...our Aria lunch buffet we used in April was also not good at weekends.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Hello all,

Its been some time since I have posted on here - mainly because I havent been to Vegas since 2012 - its killing me!! BUT I am considering visiting in February 2016 (for my big 40) and I wondered if anyone who has visited in Feb could give me some idea of what it is like then?

I have been many times before, but always in July for WSOP (World Series of Poker) and its HOT and very, very busy - with so many poker tournaments and festivals etc.

I have seen that comparitively speaking it is quite cool and the pools may be closed? We usually stay at The Orleans.

Has anyone been at both times of year and can offer any insights? I am hoping that it may be a bit cheaper to go then versus height of british summer hols.

Any input would be most appreciated :)

What about Cheesecake Factory? I know I've read people in here before who say
it's fantastic. Not very fancy I know, is it like a proper restaurant? Or more
    fast food?
Is there only one branch at Caesars, or is there another
    one?

Bit late but only seen this today, we always go to Cheese cake factory at 750 S Rampart Boulevard Las Vegas, NV 89145
It is not the easiest place to find as you cant actually see it from the main road but well worth it.
If you travel up Summerlin parkway exit at S Rampart and turn left, its just after Alta drive (after you pass Ramparts Casino on your right). If coming from West Charleston, turn right on Rampart and if you get to Alta drive you have gone to far :rotfl:
There are no queues and they have an outside seating area looking over a multi coloured fountain.

How is the jet lag? We got back Monday morning and I am a mess.

Whilst we were there I watched a slot tournament at Orleans for about 10 minutes. I have no idea how these work, and hopefully someone can explain it to me. Basically, the people just seemed to be pressing the spin button like their life depended on it - literally as fast as they could (probably pressing it about 5 - 10 times before the reel had spotted spinning).

we had 4 hours sleep on our last night, plan was to be tired so when we got on the virgin flight at 16:40 on Monday, we would sleep through the night....
as always, wishful thinking, cant sleep on planes :(
Cos we had to drive 400 miles yesterday (Gatwick to Nr Norfolk, then back to Cardiff), didn't get home till 9pm, bed by Midnight, so Zero jetlag for us now.....
Just a general tired feeling and wondering where my swimming pool is! :D:D

Don't know about Slot Tourneys, but when I was losing my patience with the slots (I always do Max Bet), I would press the button real quick so the reels hardly spin.......
Did that on the M Jackson machine, $100 in, max bet, got down to $45 in seconds from pressing Spin constantly, and unsure how, but won $335 in 1 spin, so cashed out then ! :D
Did that on quite a few different machines, nice when u get the win, pain when u don't know how u got it!

Some slot tournaments are who wins the most in a set time, well that's how the ones at aspers over here seem to run.

Looking forward to the trip reports
