I've done the Orleans slot tournaments a few times. It consists of two sessions of 15 minutes. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. The scores are combined and whoever gets the most wins the big prize. The last one I entered, the prizes were 1st = $3,500 cash; 2nd = $1,500 cash; 3rd = $500 cash; 4th to 50th = $100 free play; 50th to 100th = $50 free play.

Next week I am staying at the Monte Carlo in a party of 9. We have 3 rooms booked and were planning on having 3 per room. In their FAQs it says rates are based on single/double occupancy, and there is a $30 per person per night charge for additional occupants. Obviously we would like to avoid this extra cost if possible!

As long as we check in in pairs, do you think we will be OK? And if so is there any chance we would be able to ask for a third key?

CPH LHR LAX return in November coming out as low as £296 with BA and AA . Placement flight to CPH was £36 ex LGW & £63 ex LHR. And
    LAX LAS with Spirit £22

Nice saving for a bit of messing about

You can check in as singles it doesnt matter although would look less suspicous if asking for 3 keys if there was 2 of you.

What are the sleping arrangements , you may get one king size bed as they dont gtee 2 queen size doubles.

the only place I havent got 2 queens when requested is the MGM (twice) so you should be ok.

If you dont want to share bed and need a rollaway which is one of the reasons they charge you $30 wait until you are in the room and ring housekeeping to request one, when I have done that i havent been charged

I too have been toying with flights ex-CPH. Positioning is £50 each for us and we obviously get to spend a day or two in a city we want to visit.

For our itinerary for August (if we can go), it would cost around £375 + £50 positioning each. Similar ex-UK flights are coming in at £750+ each, so getting on for half price!

OK thanks for the advice. Do you think if on our second day I went to reception and asked for a third key cos I'd "lost" one, that would cause any issues?

They'd probably re-program the lock, give you two new cards, and ask for other other one back.
