Has anybody used this promo code for Dollar Rent a Car in Las Vegas?

    http://www.lasvegas-nv.com/coupons/dollar-rent-a-car-coupon.htm

It works if you add code to 'corporate' box rather than 'Promo Code' not sure what the corporate means, has anybody used this?

Its 10% off car hire in Las Vegas.

That would be booking with the US site so no insurance waivers included, I think - just be aware. Booking via a UK 3rd party will normally be much cheaper with insurance waivers taken into account...local insurance charges are quite expensive as add-ons and will likely more than double the cost of the rental. If someone has rental car coverage another way it may be fine to book through the US site.

we use rentalcars.com - first recommended by some here when they were carhire3000...they have always given the best rates for us - others have luck on netflights and AlamoBrits and other sites but they are always more expensive when I have checked for our dates. Check on the first page for others that have been recommended too.

I used to rent through dollar.com as I have a US CC with rental car coverage so using that for the rental technically I didn't need any insurance waivers and could decline them...but years ago I stopped as the price difference from renting with dollar.com vs CH3000 was small (at the time it was about £20 difference - haven't checked for years)...and CH3000 included insurance waivers. For £20 not having the potential faff of getting into an accident and having to pay for something and then claim it back on my CC insurance was well worth it to me.

And I just remembered that as we like to pick the car up at TI on our first day, rentalcars.com offers that option...the others I've checked either don't or it's really hard to find, at least the last time I checked. :)

I booked my Dollar fullsize with usrentacar.co.uk (gold option)...
Worked out £8 cheaper than dollar.co.uk and rentalcars.com etc

But then you can check the following day, and dollar.co.uk will be cheaper than the others, etc etc....

I pickup our Dollar rental next Monday, booked with usrentacar and my DE number was part of the booking..
I used this voucher at MCO 3 years ago...

So I printed it again and will try next Monday to see if I can blag that free upgrade....
  • Could anyone give me a bit of advice about alcopop type drinks.

I quite like Bacardi Breezers, Smirnoff, Hooch, that type of thing, what would be the equivalent in Vegas?

Just wanting to save my hubby embarrassment at the bar.

be wary of ordering drinks at most casino bars as they will be quite expensive. I'm sure I have seen people receive Smirnoff Ice from cocktail waitresses (free + tip) but other than that I'm not sure - I can think of other US alcopops but not sure what would be available from the waitresses...most casinos have drinks at their gift shop which will be cheaper than the bar but more expensive than buying somewhere like Walmart (I know that people won't necessarily want to go back to the room to grab a drink)...but maybe worth looking at what they sell to be more familiar with what the options are? Or just ask the bartender what they stock - it will probably vary a bit from place to place.

Be wary of the smirnoff ices as they are not the same as you get here, they dont have vodka in them , they are a malt beverage and dont taste nice.

I have never seen bacardi breezes but I havent looked
