have a nice trip, Stuie!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Have a good trip Stuie...have you booked the muscle car challenge, fairly sure I am going to give it a go in August0

For some strange reason I was selected for TSA Pre-Check on the way back which meant I went in a different line at security and didn't have to take off shoes or belt or take laptop or liquids out of the bag, just walked straight through.
OH wasn't selected, but managed to get through with me on the first leg, but had to go in the normal line on the second leg.
We also got selected, maybe its an MSE thing.
BUT it took us longer as after the quick check we were sent back to the normal line to go through the scanner!!0 -
Have a good one Stuie. Maybe bump into you in the next couple of days.0

we use rentalcars.com - first recommended by some here when they were carhire3000...they have always given the best rates for us - others have luck on netflights and AlamoBrits and other sites but they are always more expensive when I have checked for our dates. Check on the first page for others that have been recommended too.
I used to rent through dollar.com as I have a US CC with rental car coverage so using that for the rental technically I didn't need any insurance waivers and could decline them...but years ago I stopped as the price difference from renting with dollar.com vs CH3000 was small (at the time it was about £20 difference - haven't checked for years)...and CH3000 included insurance waivers. For £20 not having the potential faff of getting into an accident and having to pay for something and then claim it back on my CC insurance was well worth it to me.
And I just remembered that as we like to pick the car up at TI on our first day, rentalcars.com offers that option...the others I've checked either don't or it's really hard to find, at least the last time I checked.
Cheers for the info folks, I've booked up with rental cars, below is whats included:
Unlimited Kilometers for ALL car groups , Insurance ( - Collision Damage Waiver - Theft Protection - 3rd Party Liability - Supplementary Liability Insurance - Uninsured Motorist Protection ) , Local Taxes , Airport Surcharge , Premium location fee , GPS System Rental , Homeland Security Fee
Just to double check is the above all I need for insurance, the same as I would when renting a car in the UK?0 -
I was selected for TSA pre screen flying from D gates to LAX.
Went through the designated line, still had to show ID, then we were just funnelled into the normal queues so had to get everything out
Waste of timeThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

We sailed through even with my hip replacement making all the machines ding. I didn't get the obligatory feel up that I usually get when flying. That was worth a lot!0

Should I make an advance booking to do the Skyjump? Or will it be OK to just turn up an queue?0
