Saw Donny and Marie again last night. Excellent show again, but nowhere near the energy of previous shows. I couldn't understand how they could keep that up at their ages so forgiveable. The show was also 80 mins long rather than 90 mins.

Ate at Charlie Palmer Steak and had an excellent meal again. The service really is outstanding there.

Temps set to be 100F Friday and Saturday before cooling down after that.

    See how peoples opinions differ

I know many on here love Donny and Marie, I was bored stiff (wife enjoyed it) its probably the worst show I have seen in Vegas

I think I posted something about that. It was also on VMB, a member called paperposter was the one who brought it up, and he still has his receipt. I still think they were just trying it on.

the people next to us did...but their order was also wrong so they brought them out another meal which they then boxed up to take back to the hotel room for the next day. :)

That $11 beer receipt pebbles posted with the entertainment tax was crazy. I now wish we would have kept ours to review, just in case. We did have the $50 MC dining credit we were using though which got complicated enough on its own...at first they said they couldn't take our mlife card (we had asked at the mlife desk if we could use it there and they confirmed)...then only one person could do what needed to be done on the till.

It's a bit sad as I really really loved the catfish sandwich and I doubt I will get my husband back there...not with all the other options.

Thomas Cook from Glasgow, 1st June 2015 for a week and nice to go direct for a change. Seen it posted earlier and have been mulling it over for a couple of weeks.

What swayed me was the flight times, 23kg baggage plus 6kg hand luggage plus food included n their long haul flights too, I also booked seats £12.50 each way (£50) for two seats at the window and an extra 23kg luggage on return flight (£50) so all in all just under £1100 for the two flights.

There were plenty of dates for May up to 1st June, prices around £970 for two flights. Hope its successful for them as it's another Vegas option.

I know from experience how bad TC can be after a 13 hour delay to Majorca last May :( but I'm willing to take the chance on long haul. I've flown once to Orlando with them with no delays

There is not a lot of hotels available so far in advance, but we are mulling over Planet Hollywood Hollywood Hip room, does anyone have any good/bad reports of staying there ? Location is good, but not sure of pool area etc.

I just tried a dummy booking with Thomas Cook from GLA. The dates only went up to 11 May. It initially showed the price as £487pp, but when I clicked through it went up to £1013 for 2 people with no indication what the extra was for.

There was no luggage included, just the option to add 20kgs for £56, 25kgs for £96 and also 30kgs. Meals could be added FOC.

It depends on what you're used to, I think...but we hated our Hollywood Hip room even ignoring the issue with the goods lift running behind it. The bedroom area was very small relative to other Vegas hotels we have stayed in (the bathroom was quite large, though - to us it seemed an odd use of space), it was dark, little storage space, small window we had to shove a chair out of the way and bend down to look out of.

Relative to hotels in Europe the room was fine, but relative to other rooms in Vegas it's pretty much bottom of our list. We complained about the lift and were moved to a resort room which was great.

I too can only see up to a bit later in May.

jadampc - how did you manage to book for June? What website was this on?

Looking at this year in June with US Airways, it's 60000 points for return flights in June. We should have enough points for a free flight next year, so we might do that. September seems to be 90000 points, so we may switch our trips around next year, or even do 2 trips to Vegas! :rotfl:
