Thanks - I think it is the same one nvh mentioned so will add it to the short-list. I really don't expect to use it much so it sounds like it might do the trick. :)

I have a MOTO G its a great phone for the price, not sure wether you need 4g though.

I also have a sony experia Z, which is an awesome phone with 4g but not very MSE if you dont want to use it all the time

Yes, you can do this. Any balance due after vouchers/specials can be paid for with TR points assuming they are accepted at the outlet otherwise. The points are sort of like cash - think of it that way...you can use them however you want to pay your bill (or part of your bill) as you would if you had cash - assuming TR points are accepted.

I'm very surprised, but delighted. :D I'd love to see some Social Rewards freebies reports on here! I'm quite shocked at how they are giving stuff away for nothing like this. I guess they think the advertising we are all doing on facebook and twitter pays off!

Thank you - I will look into that one too and I did not know that about Carphone Warehouse PAYG...

I can verify that this is true for the 3 phones we have bought this way in the past. None of them were smartphones though. I know that this doesn't apply to iphones due to the way they work.

They probably get more exposure from it than MyVegas does and MV must be giving away more...I prefer the Social Rewards use the points for what you want than the MyVegas having to stalk particular rewards...it's less work than MyVegas partly because it's limited to a number of shares a day so probably less 'value' in the potential rewards...but it's nice to spend the points as you want. Since each points is $0.01 you can use them for what you want, split the total SR earnings up however you want. I like that.

It's not very exciting but we used some of mine for breakfast at Hash House a Go Go last time....in the end didn't use the rest - will save for next trip - but we have TR credits from slot play too so it starts to mingle in a bit. We thought about using them for the High Roller but then decided to leave the HR for another time when prices come down or there are 2-for-1s or something.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I think High Roller appears to be overpriced...but if I remember correctly it's currently biggest of its type in the world right now so people will probably pay extra for that experience. I won't be spending my credits on it either.

I'm really pleased to hear I can use them with my LVA coupons - so I guess it will be Rio Buffet, Harrah's buffet and possibly Planet Hollywood with those, then might do Caesar's buffet (no coupon though for that!).

Still got nearly 4 months before we go though.

Used our Social Rewards / Total Rewards credits at the Eiffel Tower restaurant last night and it was very good. Although we eat at high end places, this is one where I doubt we would have booked unless it was practically free.

Did you use your total rewards card or did you have to get a voucher for the Eiffel Tower restaurant?

    Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I checked-in here, but over the years these forums have provided my wife and I with so many useful hints and tips to help plan our trip to Vegas – thank again to everyone.

I’ve been working on a pet project over the past few months to create my own Vegas based website using the information I’ve gathered over the years (much of it gained from here!), and I’ve even linked the trip report I wrote back in 2010 when I got engaged to my wife and my best friend got married (post 7681).

So if any of you are interested in checking out my work you can find it at; https://www.vegas-planner.com and please feel free to pm me with any comments and observations.

    Thanks again,

I had read online that you needed a voucher so we went to the TR desk in advance to confirm. Just as well we did as when we went to get the voucher, just before going to the restaurant, the girl said we couldn't use TR there as it was a third party. I asked her to check and she came back and confirmed that we could use it.

You have to specify how much you want the voucher for and if you don't spend all of it, it is re-credited to your TR account.

that's interesting - I wonder how many other restaurants work similarly? I know that if they are owned by CET they will likely accept TR points (so all the buffets and cafes)...PF Changs and Toby Keith's used to not accept them but do now.

Not sure how up-to-date this list is but it's something.

edited to add I think 'Quick Rewards' means you can use your TR card at the restaurant, no voucher required.

From my recent reading, I believe it is only Mon Ami Gabi and the Eiffel Tower restaurant that require you to go to the TR desk beforehand to get a voucher for your points. Someone suggested if you are there as a couple, one ducks out to get the voucher while the other sits with the bill. I doubt that would be an issue, but I'd be worried that the queue was long at the desk! That said, neither of those restaurants are 'on our list' as they're not very veggie friendly.

My husband was laughing at me earlier :o I told him we can use our LVA coupons then pay the balance using the points. I was quite excited when telling him. He then pointed out that it should be tax free too (no tax on comps) and I actually did a bit of clapping motion and big grin. Haha. He's rather amused at me getting so excited about bargains. He sometimes calls me Les Miserables (with the 'miserables' said as it's spelt). :rotfl:
