make that triplets (edit - quadruplets!)!

going forward we should all just travel together in seats selected specifically...we could call it 'the courtesy zone'. Maybe it would catch on?

In general I find random stranger's lack of consideration and in some cases even general consciousness of what is going on around them amazing...on a plane I think it's 10x worse.

Also that flight map - turn it off...it's a bad thing...I know that staring at it thing. Bad, bad.

I can generally get to sleep provided that my knees are not being crushed...which in economy seems to be <50% of the time...I seem to attract the full recliners...I may put my seat back a smidge if hte person behind me is not tall and squished up against it (I check first)...but only a teeny bit and only if it helps me be slightly more comfortable. I find it funny that people seem to think that reclining your seat gives you more legroom...if I lean back from waist level, my knees don't move.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

If only I could get some magic ruby red slippers like Dorothy click them 3 times and say "there's no place like Vegas, there's no place like Vegas, there's no place like Vegas" and hey presto I'm there!!

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

found this about it being banned though so I guess it must work

The gadget does not violate any FAA regulations (it can't be used during taxi, takeoff, and landing, when the tray must be upright), but airlines have the right to forbid its use. Northwest, American, and Continental Airlines have done so,

Looking at hotels from sept 6th to 12th. Vdara coming in at only 95euro a night seems the best deal. Have stayed in Signature x3, Venetian, PH previously. Any opinions? Would be open to cheap hotel for first 2 nights and then high end for last 4 or even just blow the budget for last night and stay in Penthouse fountain view in bellagio for last night

I'm not sure I'd split a 6 night stay to be honest, particularly by splitting off the last night like that. You'll seriously disrupt your last day, and probably not get much use of a presumably expensive room.

We are there similar dates, arriving 9th and staying until 20th. We are staying at Platinum in an upgraded room for $122 per night right through. I'm not sure what the weekend night rates are that you are getting. Can often be quite high on the strip.

Fingers crossed the weather is better than last year. We got a lot of rain, but it's usually really nice at that time, we were unlucky. :(

Getting closer, just over 4 months now. :) We fly to Phoenix on the 5th, then do some driving via the Canyon then onto Vegas.

I dont see a problem splitting 6 nights.

we are staying in 4 different hotels in August over 13 nights, admittedly so that we can get 10 of them comped but even if they werent we would still do 3

it looks like that because the tray table works independently of the seat in-fronts reclining mechanism, this essentially just locks onto the tray table arm and acts as a barrier to the seat reclining (... I could be wrong) :)
  • I'm thinking about visiting one of the malls at either end of the strip, is one better/bigger/more interesting than the other?

Can you get to them on the buses that go up and down the strip, without changing buses that is.
Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.
