I must be in the minority, I find Metro Pizza quite expensive (even on the BOGOF) and not tasty at all, usually frazzled up slices sitting under heat.
Go next door to 7/11 and get a stone baked 12" for about $5. They do 4 cheese and peperoni. They put it in a special oven (no not a microwave) and it takes 4 minutes to cook to perfection, nice and bubbly on top and crisp edges. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

we didn't do the High Roller in the end, we'd planned to do it one particular evening, but it was really windy that day so thought it best not to risk it!
but we walked up The Linq area towards it, and it did look very impressive0 -
For those who flew VA recently, has the IFE been upgraded to be like the normal VA planes ? (movie on demand system through the remote control thing)
I flew a few times with VA back in 2005 on the LHR-Newark routes, and they had the on demand system, so pick what u want, when you want, etc etc.
When we flew VA to Vegas in June 2011, they had an IFE on there which seemed older than me! (I am 38 !)
I read somewhere that a few older planes on VA had the upgrade ?0 -
The Gatwick fleet got a total makeover....seats, IFE, loos, everything.illegitimi non carborundum0

yep, the whole fleet (8 planes I think?) got upgraded a little while ago... about 12 months ago?

the IFE is now all touch-screen, on-demand, no remote controls. you can find out which films/tv/music/games are available:

- not had a frazzled one (yet), but we always have a full one, freshly made from scratch

Well, just taken the plunge, and bought our dollars today at Fairfx for our trip in a fortnight.$1.66 is the best we have had in the last few trips,so not too bad.
Talking off upgrades to first class. We booked a last minute trip to Orlando in March.Only went for a week, and missed our connecting us airways flight in Philli...their fault. So they put us in first class on the next flight.it was only a short wait until the flight anyway,so we were happy. We never fly first class,as I prefer our money be spent on the holiday, but it was nice to see how the other half live.It was only just over 2 hour flight down to Orlando, but managed to sleep flat out on the pod beds for that time.
It's the type of luxury you could really do with on the return transatlantic flight from Vegas....but I ain't paying all that extra for it,so will back in economy on the 11th May.:)0 -
We are off in 3 weeks - cannot wait! While there we want to watch Penn and Teller - are we better off getting tickets now or waiting until we get there?0
