And recline aaaaaaall the way and then try for more by slamming into it repeatedly. And sit forward for the meal while leaving their seat in my lap...then later sit forward just for the heck of it while leaving their seat reclined.
When we used to fly Virgin in economy and it was meal time. If the person in front was reclined I used to ask the CC to ask that person to put their seat up so that I could eat. It worked fine.

Luckily I don't have to worry about that anymore;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

me too but a) it annoyed me that the passenger in front didn't give the matter any consideration without prompting and b) it annoyed me that, unlike AA where the CC would prompt passengers along the way to put their seats up for the meal, that I had to prompt the Virgin CC to ask the passenger in front.

I'm highly annoyable at 30,000 feet, to be fair. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

  • Looking at hotels from sept 6th to 12th. Vdara coming in at only 95euro a night seems the best deal. Have stayed in Signature x3, Venetian, PH previously. Any opinions? Would be open to cheap hotel for first 2 nights and then high end for last 4 or even just blow the budget for last night and stay in Penthouse fountain view in bellagio for last night

Also OH cannot understand my "Air Rage" as he calls it,but he wouldn't because he always get the best seat, the most leg room(he takes some of mine)and always falls asleep on the flight unlike me who is generally the only person still awake, trapped next to someone else and just for the torture of it watching the moving map move centimetre by centimetre!!Have to say though on our horrific flight with BA last year I annoyed the German giant so much he changed seats with his wife for a little while( she was as tall and still reclined) he sat in front of OH who is 6'2".I did have an hysterical giggle because the seat tray was literally inches from OH s nose and all he kept muttering was "we've paid £50 each for this torture"!!!whereas he wasn't concerned when he did it to me,just kept telling me to calm down...it was payback!!

make that triplets (edit - quadruplets!)! it would be so much easier if they just locked all seats so you can't recline ;) It could be another 'sell' for PE/UC!

I'm sure there are Facebook groups committed to anti-reclining!

we're just back from our 4th stay at Vdara, we love it (can you tell?!). Even the basic rooms (Deluxe Suites) at Vdara are nice, and a step or two up from basic rooms at bigger hotels.

unless you're keen to stay in a couple of different hotels, a City Corner suite (or Executive Corner suite) would be great at Vdara. And some of these come with fountain views... though through the windows, rather than a balcony like some at the Cosmopolitan.
