Secret machines, did you mean China Poblano at Cosmo? Your description sounds a bit like what we had there.

Thanks very much for your report. I always enjoy reading them.

Ooh yes, good spot, have edited it!
We stopped in for a lunch and it was great :)

General question, do you diet before you hit Vegas or when you come home?

  • Hello everybody. I have been lurking on this thread for about three years and now its finally happening. On thursday we fly out to Vegas for 16 days.

Thanks to this thread I fell very well prepared but I just have a quick question.

Has anyone any experience of the Ceasars 48hr All stage pass?

I know its not the big shows but we quite fancy the challenge and presumably it will push us into seeing things we normally wouldn't.

However I'd be interested in everyone elses experience, particularly if its all a bit of a con.

My diet saw me gain 2 stone! hah !!! :D:D:D

Am back on a major mission again, gym and cut-down of food, etc etc...
My guess is, I will come back around 1.3 stone heavier from our 2 week trip next month ! Ribs ? did somebody say Ribs ?!! :D mmmmmmmmmmmm !

Neither....all that extra walking takes care of the extra calories :)
I tend to eat when I feel like it in Vegas....which usually means a massive breakfast/brunch and then nothing til the evening but I don't restrict myself if I fancy lunch too I'll have it-I just don't often feel I need to after so much food for breakfast.

Yes, we'll probably do Metro Pizza at Ellis Island too. Been a few years since we got pizza from there. My last memory though includes a 10-15 minute wait and me standing at a bar on my own. Not very ladylike haha.
ha - yes - we have always waited, though i'm sure our wait is usually around half an hour (we tend to end up there near to closing though... this may be the fault of alcohol ;) ) - you can also buy their own microbrewed booze with your pizza and I'm sure it only costs a couple of dollars!? - comes in a take-away style cup :)

I have mentally planned to go this year. Cash is waiting, and I'm monitoring flights (and this thread :D ) - just dependent on other factors at the moment. Don't know what dates we would go but suppose I could provisionally just book stuff... refundable of course! :D

we saw Back to the Future several places including Palazzo - didn't have any wins on it...or on Flashdance which was one of the other newer movie themed ones we tried...or Avatar, for that matter...and we tried Willy Wonka again and had the same result as last time, nada...so we've come to the conclusion that the film themed slots are a bit hit and miss...we like Iron Man though. :)
there does seem a familar theme with all these new 'jazzy' machines (jeez, i'm sounding old there! ;) ) - we had similar misfortunes with Family Guy, Aladdin etc last time IIRC. Seem to play for hours and not see a bonus, but it seems that if you get the bonus, you win quite a chunk.
  • secretmachines- thanks for the trip report, I'm really glad you enjoyed MJ One after I went on about it in my trippy last year. Did you do the observation wheel? did you book in advance? was it any good?
Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.
  • ferf - well done on the upgrade, we fly Virgin UC in June for the first time, I'm soooo excited!
