Well we are safely ensconced at the premier inn Gatwick North in advance of our flight tomorrow. Would recommend it if you can get a good price. Think we paid £80 and that includes 8 days parking at the official meet and greet. It was a joy dropping it of with the valet. Not sure I will ever want to bus it offsite again!

Hoping to be able to stay up tomorrow to enjoy some of the weekend buzz before we pass out from jet lag. Last time we barely made it through dinner!

What is the name of the rubbish rooms at Caesars? Is it Roman Tower rooms?

Yes....are you going to try them ;)
With a bit of luck, the spunk stains on the bedspread and the comfy chair from six years ago will still be there, all the metalwork still be hanging off the bathroom walls and door, and the mould will be so large and hairy that Andrew Neil will be able to use it to replace his awful syrup.......albeit it will be blue.

Froggit, I said Hell no! To that tower. I'd rather sleep on one off the cross bridges. ;-)

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Hi all :) Soon I will be going to Vegas for the 1st time , I have booked flights and hotel all through travel agent which has all been paid for however they advised when checking in to hotels in Vegas you have to give a credit card (not debit) for them to swipe , I am assuming this is in case of room service or mini bar etc But I was wondering for you expert Vegas guys have you heard of it ? And the amount of auth they take ?
    Thanks :)

Many hotels all over the place, not just Vegas, ask for a credit card swipe. You can also leave cash in many places if you don't have a CC.

This might be a bit out of date but should offer a rough idea:

    most recommended on-Strip steak place?
(not top-end $$, but something decent and wholesome!)

For me Outback Steakhouse was the only place I had a steak in Vegas and it was awesome.

Their 32oz Porterhouse Steak cooked medium/rare with two sides is a definite winner in my eyes.
