Just noticed this myself regarding Virgin seat allocation changes (again)

    Updated: 07 March 2014

We recently announced that on 1 April we would launch a new system to provide a more reliable process for selecting seats. We need a bit more time to test the new system, so we are delaying the launch until the end of June.
So, from the end of June, Economy customers will be able to select seats at check in but for those customers wanting to assign a seat before this time, the service will be available for a fee. Charges will not apply to Upper Class and Premium Economy customers.
This means that until the end of June, all customers will be able to select their seats free of charge from 60 days before flight departure.
We wanted to tell you about this change of plan as soon as possible and we’ll confirm the exact date of launch by the end of March.
Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.

Thank you...will have to update my calendar reminder set for Tuesday to pick our October seats!

Seems bizarre to charge customers for performing a task for no payment, that they will have to pay a real person to do at the airport.

Are you in PE < I think you said you are.

If I am reading that correctly, economy seats will not be able to be selected free until check in after the end of june, until then it will be free 60 days before departure.

    is that right?

we are in PE but the way it was before it read like from 1st April you could choose your seat at the time of booking for all flights from here on out (for a fee or not depending) so I was going to go in and pick seats for October. Virgin's help section is rather awful I think...but reads to me now like that's end June, probably.

For economy I read it the same way as you do.

For me Outback Steakhouse was the only place I had a steak in Vegas and it was awesome.

Their 32oz Porterhouse Steak cooked medium/rare with two sides is a definite winner in my eyes.

This is my favourite place ever! The one above Casino Royale,we always go on our first night and near the end of our hols.My meal every time is the Blooming Onion (I think it's over 3000 cals!) to start (we do share this between us) and then the Victoria Fillet steak. My mouth is watering just writing this!!:)

I love the bloomin' onion at Outback. For steaks I think there are better choices though not sure how prices compare, I assume Outback is a less expensive option than many...Envy is probably our favourite of those less often mentioned - though not quite on strip it's a short walk from the Convention Centre monorail...Mon Ami Gabi too...we also loved Gordon Ramsay Steak but obviously quite pricey.

Looking forward to trying Tender next trip!

Argh, I have a PE booking too and was going to do it next week. My flight is August so I now believe I can do it 60 days before the flight in June?

I called Virgin last week and asked about this. I'm going PE in August and was waiting for 1 April, but then I saw the announcement on the website. The guy I spoke to said even the Virgin Atlantic staff are really confused by it and he wishes they would just either launch the new system or not launch it, and forget about this staggered thing.

The eventual answer I got was that he believes my flight will be available for seat selection 60 days before, but he said he wouldn't be surprised if it changed again so I should keep checking!
