Made a Zip Up Pouch - first time I have tried doing tabs on the zip ends. This is a present for DGD.
I used a linen type fabric from my stash and LO Laura A scraps. The back is plain.

newthrift - your scarf looks so soft and cosy. Well done.

Florenceem - more lovely makes. I'd be thrilled to get such a pretty bag.

Been away so not much done, just birthday card for grandson (idea stolen from pinterest).

I thought that left me one birthday card to make in April, but it turns out my son proposed to his partner on Mother's Day (they have 2 children) and they went ring shopping today. I'm so excited!

Good evening all. Hope your all well.

Flowers thank you for adding me.

Ailsb. I have just taught myself to crochet following a pattern and to do different stitches.

I have finished the first project of my list. Recover the dressmakers dummy I brought recently. Am quite pleased with the finish.

So it's been a while since i have been on this site but i have finally completed my first project on the list!! I have made a cowl neck scarf as a present for my mom! I have also made a pair of booties for preemie babies at the sheffield children hospital but don't want to mark it as complete as i would like to make a few more bits if possible. I would show pictures but i am not allowed to upload attachments yet, i guess i need to have done a few more comments before i can do that? :rotfl:
Have also added a couple of new projects...

    1. Knit a tea cosy
    2. Learn to crochet (have a book and a beginners scarf set so that is the first challenge!)

Florence - lovely cushion and very MSE using up scraps of fabric.

Newthrift - well done on finishing your scarf, you should feel proud of yourself.

Greentiger - that's a great idea for a boys card. Might log it for future use.

Craftycrafty - well done on covering your dummy. Is it for decoration, love the wallpaper by the way, or are you intending on using it?

bexidina - lovely update to your list, I've not heard of knitting a coat for a penguin, off to google that one. I'm sure your mum was pleased with her scarf and equally the hospital will be pleased to receive the bootees. I think you have to get above 10 posts before you can add photos, if you keep commenting on here you will be there in no time. Have you signed up to join the group on flickr yet? If so you can always add your photos there and dirdft people to look. If not sign up in readiness.

I've knitted two hedgehog hats in the last couple of days for my neices. Ned to embroidrr their faces and will post a picture. They're not on my list but thought I'd share them with you.

    morning all
    love everyones updates

welcome to all the new members who have joined the thread

bexidina love your list, ive not heard of penguin coats but i have knitted coats for battery hens who loose their feathers due to stress so when they are rehomed they feel the cold till their feathers grow. id imagine they are a similar thing as my son is mad on penguins and has a collection of cuddly ones so he asked me to knit one of his a chicken coat. it is like a little tabbard with button straps under the wings
