Loving everyone's work :) how are we in October? I can't see me finishing my 14 in 2014 list but will be pleases if I can finish this stocking and get another one done for my grandpa in time for Christmas. I want to do one for my dad too but just can't see me getting it even started. Anyway here is the latest (some parts are just pinned in place)

Getting back on track, slowly. I did not get any Christmas cards done in September as intended. Now I've started on my October cards. It's my grandson's 6th birthday tomorrow. He's a fan of the Lego Movie so I stole an idea from joanne@thecraftyowl.co.uk to make this card.

It's my daughter's birthday next week, then, of course, there's Hallowe'en.

    Hello everyone

    Update time!

    Band 12 complete

This band contained upright rice stitch (the outer edge), should of been diamond eyelet stitches but I misread instruction and done diamond smyrna stitches and in the middle I did upright cross stitches instead of the upright rice stitches again.

So another stitch has been added to my wee stitches book - upright rice stitch.

Next band - no.13 - is just cross stitches. I am now about two-thirds the way through.

Hope everyone is well, I am hoping to go along to the embrioders guild meeting on the 22nd, so see how it goes.

    Keep well

    sweetcarer ;)

sweetcarer, i love your twisted band sampler is really is beautiful

i know what you mean about grown up stuff pigpen, ive got a cardi for me that ive abandoned in favour of smaller quicker items. currently knitting a big pillow sized cushion cover but im using chunky wool so at least its growing quickly and using lots of stashed wool

giant chunky cushion now finished. it knitted up really quickly with being chunky and on big needles. the green leaf patterned one was a recent recover as well.
might go back to scarf for a bit or could hunt through stash for more chunky wool to make another cushion cover.
