AA wanted to charge us almost the twice the price that a 'new' customer would pay for the exact same level of breakdown cover. Have defected to the RAC, as they had a better rate of cashback on Quidco. Emailed the AA to cancel renewal, to save on the price of a stamp :D

fruit, veg, milk and bread top up shop £11.

Going to make some crustless quiche and a ginger cake for snacking during week.

In a bid to make a dent in old food stocks, Sundays are fast becoming the night of simple tea and a pud. Tonight will either be tuna salad sarnies or tuna pasta bake with salad. I'm then going to make a sexier version of chocolate angel delight by subbing some of the milk for imitation baileys, served with tinned pears and YS strawbs. Bought some flakes to crumble over the top (better value to buy a multipack of 4 for £1 than a single one for 60p). Will have to hide the spares in the darkest recesses of the baking cupboard or they will soon be devoured!

I would but due to the principle of 'paying ourselves first' there is very little left in the joint account to TT because it has almost all been allocated or siphoned off into various pots.

    Half term...

...is fighting sleep to enjoy a bottle of wine and much needed catch up with the girls.

...is waking up naturally, without an alam.

...is reading in bed on a Saturday morning whilst enjoying a cup of tea.

...is having the time and energy to enjoy the mundanity of house work (hello Mount Ironmore  :D).

...is time for the catharsis of decluttering prior to a good spring clean (guest bed and our bedroom today).

...is rediscovering what living, not existing, feels like.

...is doing all of the above (apart fom wine) in my PJs.

...induces a state of demob joy and contentment.

Top up shop done. Slightly higher than last week at £15, as we got some nice breakfast bits to enjoy this week whilst we're off.

Watching the rugby whilst mounting our prints for the kitchen (the ones I had originally hoped to hang in January :o)
