Wind and rain really picking up here now.

Upstairs hoovered, so downstairs next then some present wrapping with DS3.

DS1 out shopping and DS2 learning the theory part of the driving test, DS3 reading a book for school whch has to be done for when he returns - so all lovely and calm here atm.

    OK, let's have a look......

    Monday Mayhem

    • Make sure you have all the shopping you need to take you through to next week.. milk and bread especially! It is Bank Holiday on Thursday so some shops are not open.. the big supermarkets are. Done. Anything not here we will do without.
    • Make sure the last of the presents are nearly wrapped. I will not have people sitting up into the early hours on Christmas morning wrapping! N/A
    • Have we located stockings? N/A
    • S&S the kitchen Needs doing
    • S&S the bathroom/s and loo's Needs doing
    • Make sure your timetable for christmas day is sorted and everyone knows their tasks.. who is spud peeling? Who is stuffing the bird etc..? N/A - we'll actually be having Quorn fillets and roast veg with white wine sauce again, same as we did on Yule.;)
    • Phone someone you 'forgot' to post a card/present to in time.. just so they know you've not forgotten them... N/A
    • Change pet bedding and wash blankies etc.. we don't want them putting you off your christmas sprouts! N/A - Lizzie's bed is fine, it was clean when she arrived, and has a nice wipeable cover.
    • Dust round the whole downstairs Needs doing
    • Have a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs N/A Not needed, we're all tidy
    • Children... quick.. tidy your rooms you don't want Santa thinking you don't look after your stuff.. he might not leave any presents! N/A
    • Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs! N/A already done
    • Mop the kitchen floor! N/A vacuumed with rest of bungalow (it's carpet tiles in there)
    • Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good! Needs doing but there's only me and Lizzie, and I don't think her paws are up for that sort of task:D
    • Get out any special christmas crockery and make sure it is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too! N/A
    • Declutter your desk.. or anywhere else that has all your paperwork on. N/A Done - very thoroughly, as the old XP pc has now gone. *cries*
    • Hopefully you have had a skim through the TV guide and decided what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!! If not then make 5 minutes to do it today. Don't forget to make time for Queenie! N/A
    • Toy boxes can be banished upstairs! N/A
    • Tidy up coats and shoes and suchlike N/A - all tidy already
    • WRAP WRAP WRAP! N/A
    • Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself.. reading.. relaxing.. goggling... remember you are important too. Unlikely to happen.:(
Right, having identified what I need to get done before Mr LW gets in from work, time to walk Lizzie now.:o

DD has washed most of the dishes then S&S the kitchen including the cupboard fronts & kickboards! She's learning ;)

I've put a wash load on, put the wire from the Christmas lights around the back of the units so they're no longer trailing on the floor in front of the TV, straightened some decorations, put the last few decs on the tree along with candy canes and chocs :D I think I've gathered all the stray decs which aren't being used this year, and they're now in the box ready to be put away.

I put Jive Bunnys Christmas mix on to motivate us and DD has been declaring that I'm sad because I know nearly all the words :rotfl: She seems to forget that I've been listening to most of these songs 21 years longer than her. :rotfl: I think we've had our mad 15 mins dancing around the kitchen and livingroom, DD getting suddenly very embarrassed when she realised the blinds were open and I was in view of anyone going past :dance:

Next job, juggle more washing, take boxes upstairs, read the instructions for the new toaster and get that sorted so we can have beans on toast for tea. DD can dust, then vacuum downstairs. We're nearly ready to wrap gifts while watching White Christmas :snow_grin

Anyone up for a HHC at 3.15? I'm off to grab a drink then starting! :D
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

  • Have been pottering, fluttering and washing today. Woke at 7 with horrible AF cramps, didn't think I would get back to sleep, the next thing I knew it was 10.30! DD is hormonal too so we have been walking on eggshells, it's a competition is see who can hang into their temper the longest.

Nipped to the coop for a few bits, they were well stocked and there was no queue :T Had to get petrol and ciggies so went to Sainsbos, they were directing people in the (massive) car park so I dread to think what the store was like! SO glad I don't have to face a big shop this week!

Washing and ironing baskets are empty :) and only one load drying on the airer. DH is working tomorrow morning and all my children are going to help give the house a final blitz while he's out so we can all chill with a movie and have some loves in the afternoon.

Off out now to the outlaws for lamb shanks for dinner and a few ciders, if I can convince DH to give me a life home -- we can walk to collect my car tomorrow, or he can take me when he gets back from work. I hope he's willing, I'm thirsty :D
