Morning all.
I've had 5 hours sleep. I'm shattered and wanted to stay in bed a little longer, but my phone had other ideas. It needed charging and that takes 2 hours so I'm up and having breakfast in peace before I go and get DD up. Think I'll opt for just taking my phone off charge when we're ready to leave for the shops no matter what the battery says.
I remembered last night that DD needs shoes to go with her dress. Only little ballet style flat ones, so I've added them to the list. Its a good job I remembered as I haven't got any suitable ones she could borrow, ankle boots for wearing with trousers yes, a pair of smart court shoes (my 'funeral/interview' shoes which she is NOT getting her hands on) yes, even a pair of hiking boots, but not normal shoes :rotfl::rotfl:
I've remembered another job I have to do today, colour my hair! Its still on my to do listOtherwise there just seems to be todays list to go. So I best get myself shifted. Its forecast heavy rain here from midday and I want to be back home before then as my coat isn't very waterproof

morning all
thank you for the lists Natty and Dusty, im in again
hope everyone is well, hugs to those who need them along with good wishes, positive vibes spoons and sticks
busy day for me, DS1 had his party at the house saturday night so it needs a bit of extra tlc, hes friends with some guys in an up and coming band and theyd said they would play for him free if he found a venue. this near christmas not a prayer so our lounge because venue of choice:eek:it did actually go really well and we had a lovely acoustic set in the house along with the loveliness group of teens anyone could wish for. must admit i was nervous as heck after reading all the tales of things going horribly wrong when parties get out of hand. Sunday we had a few sleeping it off on various settees so along with that and my mum, sister, nephew, niece and the girls and their fellas popping in over the weekend it needs some tidying and putting away. DH and DS1 are at work today so really its the aslt day go get it done as the holidays start for us tonight.
oh and on friday i had to go out with DD3 and er fella to pick up that prize i won really nice stuff a big box full of stuff that some really exclusive shops in the city had donated. spent a while going through it deciding whos getting what as extra pressies. LOL DD3 almost went into raptures when she spotted a cath kidson apron amongst the stuff so i guess thats hers. managed to hide a pair of bang and olfsen headphones from DH so hes getting them;)
right going to make a start before DS2 wakes i want to clear the ironing as well today.

I'm in. A busy weekend has flown by and today is my last day at work until Friday.
DH is off until 6th Jan. He badly needs the rest, the working 6am-8pm club he is the chairman of is gruelling. He is at the drs as I was fed a line that repeat prescriptions happened as normal this week. I took DS3 to see the dr last week and was confronted by a wall notice stating the pharmacy was closed until after new year. I'm unimpressed.
DS1 has completed his seasonal job at the Royal Mal. They like him and have asked him to stay on. This is my best Christmas present EVER.
The house is respectable I just need to delegate while I'm at work.
Good day wishes to all of you.0 -
I am in please, thank you for the lists.
There are a few things I have been putting off, writing a Christmas card to my uncle, wrapping my OHs last gift and dropping off a gift for my nephew for christmas (we now only exchange gifts for babys first Christmas and it saves a fortune with 18 neices and nephews)
Once these are done I will post my list and cross a few things off.0 -
DS1 is washing his own clothes. I need to lie down the shock is making me light headed.0
-
Woot woot for your DS1 and especially for you, Mumto5! So pleased for you!
Thank you for the list, Natty. I'm following my own list with input from yours. Yes, I will get my ironing basket empty by New Year's Eve, Dusty.
This morning I have already sorted a huge pile of receipts and cleared a load of junk so that I can now see almost all the floor in the study/bedroom. DH is trying to prep and paint the side porch and downstairs WC by Boxing Day evening to make it pleasant enough to be used by family on Thursday
I have curtain poles to put up and more tidying to be done this morning, a physio assessment appointment re my shoulder this afternoon, and we're off to Worcester Cathedral for the carol service this evening. Lots to do, so I'd better get on with it.
(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to anyone in need. Keep safe, especially if you are travelling today.0 -
Ha ha ha!
Just reading the to-do list for today, is it OK to delegate some tasks to your festive guests who are arriving at midday, 60 minutes before I'm due to finish work for the day! Best get the OH and little one on the case!0 -
