  • Greetings all :hello:

Aches and pains have been a bit grim today - think the weather might have something to do with it - so not a lot has been done. BUT one important thing has been and that is to amend my budget. With the completion of my Me Challenge :j and some of the payments I make for my utilities changing in the New Year, thought it was a good idea to get that done.

Hoping to finish the ironing this evening, so watch this space .....

I have just gone through DD wardrobe, ruthless! It is very edited! She had too much stuff it was hard to keep any of it nice. I'll keep a select few bits for my mum in case she fosters any as young, but the rest can CS :T DD has a pinafore dress, two pairs of navy yoga type pants, a school cardi and 2 long sleeve white tees for her new nursery. But no shoes  that's a job for next week! Aside that she still has 5 dresses, 4 skirts, 2 jeggings and assorted tshirts, leggings and sweaters.

Been very peaceful here tonight (thus far) apart from the wind rattling my bathroom door. Promised littlies if they were good in the bath and ate supper nicely they can have 15min on their tablets. DS has been playing "fishing" and go karting, whilst DD had a couple of audio books then played nursery rhymes :D both under his bed whilst I sorted her room, so didn't have to listen to the sound effects :D

Bath and bed for me, think I've been awake since about 3

I think we may get a bit battered again tonight, wind has been really bad on and off all night and day. We lost the front part of the shed earlier on in the week so will have to nail that back on when the weather improves a little bit.
Need to do some number crunching over the next little while and get a proper budget up together. If DH is going to be leaving his job, I need to ensure that we can survive on my wage alone. At the moment, we can't because he spends it .
Went into town earlier to pay in the cheques and cash. Went to get DD some more jeans and she ended up getting one pair. She's terrible at shopping. Gets a right monk on if you need to pop into a shop for you. I hate taking her shopping as it's so stressful :( so I left her with her Dad while I went to boots :o.
Right, am chilly, off for a bath now. Can smell roast beef nom nom nom......

    Well!

    decluttered walk and lunch

went to doctors - the skin thing is nothing to worry about (and I wasn't the one worrying) it's a fibro-(something) derma (something)

    then

    went to town.

Have been to Boots sale and got stuff for next year, BHS for giftwrap, Smiths for xmas cards and Tesco-in-town and found stuff for prize box at work. Nothing In Wilkos except half price Ariel so I grabbed one of them. Then went to Morries - more xmas card, bit of shopping. Then DS wanted to go to Morries but it had shut so we went to big Tesco. Got loads of stuff reduced to pennies inc a bag of spuds and a bag of carrots and into asda where I spent a further 35p on a carrier bagful.

    My feet hurt though!

Hope you all had a fab Christmas xx

s'lovely to see you back Lil_me and I am envious of your getting to PoohBear's cottage.
I have turned of the heating - SOMEONE had overidden the timer *grumpy noise*; filled the DW and the WM. My blimmin light in the bedroom has blown; fortunately I have a lamp. I am pootling about online looking for decent, and inexpensive bedding with little success thus far. I want sheets, really. DD is going to town after work tomorrow so I will pop back into BHS and see what they have.

    ETA lovely pics Piggers.

I'm really really bad a taking them - well not true; I take perfectly good ones WHEN I CBA! ;)

Incidentally IF you have had a request to like a tea rooms, in Derby, it is me; it's my niece's business. We are attempting to improve her online profile and they do make utterly scrummy cakes.
