Morning all.
Its so quiet here without DD and my house is staying clean and tidyI'm itching to take the decorations down but a friend has asked if they can see them (they've never been here over Christmas before & want to see the 'grotto' compared to my normal 'bare' look) so I'm leaving them for now. They will be away before DD comes home on the 2nd though
Can't believe I'm up to date with the lists :rotfl: I still have no ironing, I do have washing, but its really not worth doing with just me here! I'll probably do it Monday since I need to be up for work then and then DD is home Thursday so I'll have loads of washing then.
Going to do a binbag dance, parcel up some returns for work that are being collected Monday, then carry on with my recipe book marking I started yesterday. I'm doing all the diet ones in the hopes of getting my backside into gear in 2014 and loose some weight before I get out of the 'mid-30s' age bracket. The plan is slow and steady and gradually building up the exercise as it becomes easier.I have 2 years to shift 6 stone....then I can start borrowing DD's clothes since she keeps pinching my shoes :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm hoping to get on with some household paperwork, getting my household notebook up to date (last time I updated it ex was still living here! Looking at the dates on one of the pages its 10 years out of date! I'm sure I've updated it since then though.), get some daily check lists written/laminated etc etc. All while watching catch-up TV. Everything on my DVR is now for DD to watch except a 3-part drama and the last part is on tonight so I'll watch that back to back tomorrowSo its TV on the laptop, and sitting on the floor doing stuff for me today
I'll pop in later to catch up :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all. Busy morning here, cream whipped and in freezer, yorkshire batter made (I've gone back to plain flour, last week they were 'too small' apparently), village shop done, washing on airer sorted and put away, and washing up done.
I still need to spend less time on here and walk the dogs and hoover through the house, then relax with DH.
Lovely pics Piggers and Bossy.
Catch you all later.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
DD decluttered to work; ironing done and two loads blowing outside. I need to tidy the dining room while it's daylight as we cannot have the 'big light'on in there yet; if there isn't a change to this soon I will have to engage the services of a sparky!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good morning dear flylady friends.
A lovely Christmas has been had and I went to work yesterday which saved me money as I usually hit the sales I'm 27th December. Really CBA this year.
DS2 is staying at my SIL's. He has my front door key which is causing me some difficulty!
DS1 was at work last night. Unsurprisingly all the busses were cancelled so we had to drive him to work for 10pm. We were very late arriving at our friends drinks party., which meant we stayed out into the early hours.
DH is furious with the cat who has again used his study as a litter tray. I don't know how to stop her. I've told him to fit a lock to the door because she can push it open. Maybe he will do it this time.
I need to have a good declutter today as the downstairs is a real mess. Best get on with it!0 -
I can't compete with Piggers' wonderful photos, but if anyone's interested, here's Lizzie:
I've done her postcard to take home; we'll take her for a final walkies in a bit, then she's due to be collected at 16:30.
We were out very early to do the fruit'n'veg run this morning - got what we needed, plus Mr LW's newspaper, and were home before 09:00.:D
Whatever else doesn't get done, we must change the bedlinen - we do this on Saturdays because I can't manage the duvet by myself - and I'll stick the WM on tonight, as we're dogless tonight. I don't put it on at night when there's a dog here, because they (most of them) sleep in the kitchen, and it wouldn't be fair to them.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Afternoon all
Successful sale shopping trip with DS2, just scoffed lunch as I got back really hungry.
WM2 joined No1 on the line
All quiet at DS1 is at work and DH has taken DS3 out on a bike ride.
Going to have a cuppa and then plant my remaiing bulbs whihslt the weather is dry.
Hoovering still needs to be done.
Bossy are you ok hun? You are in one of your 'very busy' phases which always makes me a little concerned for you x
LW Lizzie looks like she has been freshly brushed. I bet your houseguests go home with lovely coats. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hope everyone has had a good rest.
Ah well, nothing to cross off really at the Skint Pitz....DD1 got an early train home on Xmas Eve (before V1rgin made the official decision to allow later ticket holders on) and was home by about 2 (a good 2 and half hours before she was due to leave Wolves)
housewrecked - so slowly got to put it back together. DD1 had a last minute dash to out of hours service with Conjunctivitis and a prescription later, a quick power nap and she was back on the train.
Just need to get DD2 back to Canterbury, restore youngest Skints back to their bedrooms and it will slowly start coming back into normality.
But the ironing/slash folding challenge is still on :rotfl:
About to make some popcorn (let's face it ....it really cannot make the house any worse!) and I will try to be back for the new list.
back tomorrow :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Just having a much-needed lie down -- came home from picking up my skids to find that DH had done some ironing  AND put a load on in the WM :eek::eek:
We have lived together since 11th February this year and it's the first wash he's done. He irons probably once every two months so that wasn't too much of a shock, but when I saw the washer going I had to put my head between my knees :rotfl:
DS1 and DS2 have had their hair decluttered (wish their barbers did women too as I am desperate for a hair cut and they're bloomin' lovely in there :A) and I have had a massive tidying blitz this afternoon. Feeling much better for it too0 -
DS3's DLA renewal done... I hate those things!!! I have Tiddles to do in a few months too.. They are so depressing.. What would your child do if they had adequate support?.. well he might actually leave the house occasionally and not be so miserable and he might actually have friends!! He is STILL waiting for a new psych to be added to the hospital team since the last one left in April
OH doing food.. and I am doing nothing... I should move actually before I grow roots..
Bills almost up to date, 3 more to pay on Tuesday but we are getting through them!
2014 diary topped up with appointments and school dates and activities and birthdays and bill details and logins and reference numbers.. next year is looking far too busy already.. I think I need some therapy or other to make me do some out-of-the-house type activity.. before I become a total recluse!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
