That is unbelievable!
Good decision re the boxing day gathering being moved pigpen, everybody needs some calmer time after the big day...
Completely agree with CY on both counts.
DH and I have had a good tidy, another HH should crack it.
DS1 away to work
DS2 working at 4pm
DS3 off to a friend at 3pm - DH can take him, get petrol and check car tyres
I shall be back to resting with either the tv or a book at that point (don't want to relapse)
Can't be doing with sale shopping today but may venture out with DS2 tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Pigpen its next Saturday 4th but I totally agree, I hide from the attention.0

On my next cuppa
Starting to see some floor in here now. Finding homes bit by bit and removing packaging etc. Done a proper dinner, all scoffed and cleaned up, plus DW been on. I've even taken the DR seat covers off chairs and run through a wash. Had to remove the entire seat though. Not sure I'd have started if I knew but at least they are done now
Kids have been little angels :A again, playing really nicely, remembering their pleases and thank you's, and generally playing nicely together. Apparently we need another roll of paper for the easel thingy.
Second freezer is getting run down now, so when I sift the fridge contents I will meal plan. Definitely more veg needed.
Am out tomorrow afternoon, to take tea with some friends at a nice hotel nearbyand I've got plans (and a babysitter!) for NYE! Go me! Can't remember the last time I went out NYE, probably end of 2007, before I was expecting DS...
Pigpen, KH really is a KH, isn't he? <shakes head> poor kidsBossymoo

I remember Mr LW insisting on taking me out for my *cof* 50th, to TGIFr!days, and the staff wanted to do a big song-and-dance, with me being plonked up on the table (in the wheelchair?? I think not!):eek:but he stopped them and told them I'd be mortified to be drawn attention to like that. Since then I've done my best to go back to kicking birthdays under the carpet and ignoring them.:D
Funnily enough, I can cope with it all on here, probably because I'm safely tucked away behind my 'puter screen, but can't handle it IRL at all.:o
Anyways, gonna sign off and take Lizzie out now, then get on with my backups; so I'll "see" you all tomorrow, hopefully.:)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Could someone please tell me what KH stands for? I'm pretty up to speed with acronyms but that one has me baffled! I even googled it but no joy. I have gathered it's not exactly a term of endearment :rotfl:
I'm finished with work for today -- 6 hours cleaning up other people's Christmas messI normally don't mind but my own home is in serious need of TLC. Looks like I will be spending the weekend tidying and scrubbing.
I'm just about the right mixture of tired, miserable and cold to have a bath. I can't remember the last time I had one, I shower because I can't be doing with looking at my saggy, flabby bits floating around :rotfl: but I think it might be just the ticket today. I'll hang the WM load I washed earlier as it's running.
Coffee first though!0 -

Afternoon all, just popping in to take everyone for the lovely Christmas cards all displayed on every windowsill in the house.
Had a lovely time here, DS3 really was supper excited. I told everyone that no one was allowed up before 7am so at 6.59am they where stood in my room shouting 'it's christmas' lol
House has been kept tidy enough except for the washing load, poor machine will be on until the new year.
Happy Birthday to all I've missed, hope poorlies are feeling loads better.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0
