Good Morning Campers
I have one of those thought for the day desk dairies - very inspirational. Anyway here's today's ..
"You'll never look good enough to someone who doesn't love you".
So true - when someone truly loves you then you could wear an old sack and you would not be diminished in their eyes.
The first time I met my darling OH I was wearing a Khaki coloured jump suit (they were the height of fashion!!!!) flat shoes, no make up. He took one look and was smitten - love at first sight:rotfl::rotfl:
He often talks about that day and teases me about my outfit……
So ladies - when you have an off day, when you are feeling a bit bloated, when you are looking a bit tired and jaded - don't worry your loved ones probably don't even notice…..;)
On the other hand - if they are constantly criticising you or your appearance then you have to ask yourselves - "Does this person actually love the real me".
However, that's no excuse to go around looking like an old bag lady:rotfl:
Cue your timely reminder that today is Fab Friday - get dolled up and have some f-u-n.
Going to meet the builders today and have a pow-wow, then out for lunch with DS2 and get some kitchen ideas. But first a nice soak in the bath and then pilates.
Rummer - I think it's quite common to have a bit of a skin and hair crisis a few weeks after giving birth. It's the hormones settling down again - plus the tiredness doesn't help. I looked awful after my two were born. Luckily things do return to normal after a while.
Right time to get cracking.
Have a Fab day.0 -
Hi all,
Apologies for being MIA lately, has been a lot going on. Have been having some relationship probs and it seems to have broken down totally this week. I still can't seem to make myself say I'm 'single' again - just feels much too strange after nearly 14 years. Suppose will need to try and get used to thoughNot really helping at the moment that he's still living here - has nowhere else to go and needs to find a job to afford to move out. It's a bit weird but we're trying to stay friends and I don't want it to feel like I'm kicking him out when it's his house too.
Anyway, enough of the pity party! I'll probably be back on here a lot more lately. Need to try and sort my life out and the fabbing is probably a good startHope everyone is okay, glad to still see familiar faces on here, will try and catch up with the thread in the meantime x

Kiwi don't worry I'm in your camp and have done naff all all week... I have tried to eat a bit healthier bug I haven exercised.
Hubby has had a health scare and is awaiting further tests so a little stressed therefore not really eating great but trying to eat healthy when I do eat.
Life is swings and roundabouts....
I have booked my hair for a cut and my highlights for my birthday at end of the month which will cheer me up. I haven't been great on the gabbing however continue to do well on facial cleansing twice a day. Do that's a start I suppose. Think I will paint my toe nails over the weekend.
Hope you are all well.. Enjoy the weekend folks.0 -

Lizzie, glad you enjoyed your cat sitting! It would be lovely if you could make a business of it; I know a few people who would far rather someone stayed in their home with the cat or dog than put their pets into kennels. Also if you like animals, have you looked into volunteering for your local dogs home or the Cinnamon Trust?
I have registered on a few local site s but as yet have to get that first break I'm doing an online animal course later in the year. I have tried to volunteer with he cinamon trust but they wanted refs and not just from those who knew you but someone official ie; police, councillor, lawyer and it was a lot of messing as I don't know anyone really which was a shame cos i would love to do it. I've also tried a few rescue centres unfortunately they can pick and choose and I've yet to fit the bill. One day...
Good news about your sore spot healing lesson, and I hope you find somewhere for your OH soon.
Really glad this turned out not to be what you thought it was.:)
Well my feet are in shreds - new walking boots  Not sure I'll be able to persevere either it was agony.:( I'm contemplating more expensive ones but so far whatever price range I get they don't seem to last.
H seems to be on best behaviour - for how long I don't know but think I shocked him by going awol for a week :rotfl::rotfl:
Am busy finishing an assignment and the house could do with major fabbing but am just about managing to keep personal fabbing up.
Weather looks great here this morning - hope it is where you are.
:hello: to those I haven't mentioned. Keep at it you all sound like you're getting there.
Have a good day all. xx

Pod - so sorry to hear about your situation, no fun for anyone. Chin up. xxxx
Its a beautiful day here - inspired me to go for a run, just 5km and I haven't been for ages so it was quite hard going but I feel much better for it.
I haven't posted much lately - my boss has been off sick and so I've been running the department - good but really busy because I've been doing that as well as my own job!
Lots of work to do today - will force myself to sit down and get on with some before the rugby this afternoon - come on Wales!
Hope we're all well and enjoying the respite in the weather.
Might even mow the front lawn later.....best laid plans and all that!:rotfl:0 -

Lizzie, I often go through phases when I get really bad blisters - I swear by the Compeed blister plasters, as they stay on for up to a week and provide cushioned protection while the blister heals underneath. They are about £4 for 5 I think, most supermarkets & chemists will have them. I found my best weapon against blisters is double layer walking socks from Matalan - £4ish a pair but loads better than the more expensive branded ones!
I am going to (re-)join you all (again)...have just taken the opportunity of VR and am now on garden leave (or should that be allotment leave? :rotfl:) so have a bit more time to pop on and keep up with everyone.
I need to lose some weight and tone up - I am rather bloated at the moment and also have a shoulder/neck/elbow problem that I'm having physio for. Hopefully being away from my old office will help to ease that. Now I will be free during the week, I can get on my lottie whenever I want - there's digging to be done & fences to paint for starters, before I get to the weeding & planting! My skin is ok considering I've not really been eating well and drunk rather more than my ration of units recently. It too will benefit from the fresh air & exercise out on the plot.
