I dyed my hair at the weekend and I must say, I'm not keen on it. I'm hoping it will grow on me, but I dyed it a dark purple, fading down to slightly lighter at the ends, and I just feel it looks very dark. I don't think it suits my skin tone, it makes me look very pale and goth-like.No more goo hoarding!

Well work went well y-day in that I didn't hurt as much as I thought I would! Progress.. And I've not been put of doing it again
Bad point is dropped phone in water and it cost £50 through insurance ... Plus petrol today do its been an expensive day ...
Hope everyone is well.0 -
Good afternoon everyone
Ouch Sweetcheeks - that was an expensive day. You do seem to be making cracking progress with the tabbing though…..
Pirateyqueen - sorry to hear about your hair dye disappointment. Is it a permanent dye or will it wash and fade out fairly quickly.
Well the good news is the sore spot on my nose does finally appear to be healing - so thankfully it looks like it's not another carcinoma. I think it was just a badly infected commodone (black head to you and me).
I thing my skin is just becoming more fragile now than I'm the wrong side of 60. I seem to bruise very easily nowadays and any bruises, minor cuts or abrasions seem to take much longer to heal than they used to. Perhaps I need to take a skin supplement such as Zinc or even good old Vit C.
Have been very busy these last couple of days with the renos but we are really cracking on now. I really do need to schedule a few "me" appointments, hair and chiropodist.
Still managing my pilates and feeling better for it.
Right time for lunch and then I really need to do a bit more Life Laundering…..0 -
Thanks. I washed it a few times last nigh so it's not so harsh now. Hopefully I grow to like it,No more goo hoarding!

Facial exercises completed. There are a couple of eye moving ones and it really makes my head ache!
Not really had much time for yoga past few days, finished painting DS's room, today trying to catch up on housework and food shopping etc. can't decorate and clean house at the same time sadly.
Massaging in castor oil to varicose veins daily. They still look lumpy BUT they are definitely not as blue looking. If this isn't a long term solution I will have to see about going to GP as they were really starting to itch but for now all is OK. Not aesthetically pleasing but least I don't want to scratch til I bleed:eek:
LL glad sore spot is healing x
Pirateyqueen I like the sound of your hair
Sweet cheeks did you try drying phone off immersed in uncooked rice? Has great water absorbing properties....,
Hope everyone is wellI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hello again everyone
It's the first day of Lent and I'm trying to catch up on everything happening with people here, as well as starting on some aims of my own! I'm still job hunting (interview tomorrow!) but in terms of fabbing, my aims for Lent are:
1. Consume as little carbs as possible and cut out all the rubbish - cakes, biscuits etc - which seem to be stopping me lose weight.
2. Continue with my 30 Day Shred and add in something extra each day - a run, gym trip, swimming, badminton, even another Jillian workout.
3. Get my hair cut - and colour it myself beforehand - desperately needed!
Sweetcheeks and Kiwi, I'm with you on the Shredding; did level 2 day 7 today and I am STILL rubbish at some of the exercises, although I guess the point is to keep challenging yourself! I agree though about the star jumps. Blimey, does that woman love them..... Do either of you have a Fitbit or a decent pedometer, I keep thinking of investing?
PQ, I've had many a hair dye disaster in my time! Currently I'm using the John Frieda foam, which I find really good. In the end I had a colour consultation, not specifically hair but someone who advised on hair, makeup, clothes, jewellery etc and was told to stick to light ash blonde. I've kept with that for a couple of years now, despite being tempted to go auburn on a number of occasions!
Congratulations on your anniversary Maddie :T
Lizzie, glad you enjoyed your cat sitting! It would be lovely if you could make a business of it; I know a few people who would far rather someone stayed in their home with the cat or dog than put their pets into kennels. Also if you like animals, have you looked into volunteering for your local dogs home or the Cinnamon Trust?
Good news about your sore spot healing lesson, and I hope you find somewhere for your OH soon.
And Teacher, are you back to fabbing yet?!Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
Rubyslippers, where did you go for your colour consultation? I think that's what I need! I think the problem with the purple is that it's too cool for me.No more goo hoarding!

Well ladies (and gentlemen?) I have had mixed success over the last week. After hurting my knees last week was a bit of a washout exercise wise except for some walks which were very slow. However this week the pain has eased and OH has gone back to work so been exercising more. Really enjoying my dance class
No natural talent however it is great fun and burns oodles of calories.
Where I am falling down however is in my skincare and I am a bit concerned about my skin. I seem to have developed a few more lines and some dry patches. My skin has always been normal and clear so I use the minimum of care on it, however it is dull, dry and creased at the moment. A friend did mention that her skin was the same when breast feeding so that may be a factor. SO I need to cut out more sugar and drink more to cleans from within
Weight wise I am doing really well :j and have been steadily losing 2-3lbs per week :j Now just over half a stone lighter than I was before I fell pregnant :j
How are you all doing with your fabbing??Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Afraid I went from my three day DIY Bootcamp straight into Fatcamp. TOTM and all those good intentions turned to custard. I have eaten so much rubbish and done next to stuff all in exercise this past week; it's a self-fulfilling prophecy, feel like rubbish, eat rubbish, feel worse, what the heck eat more rubbish. I've eaten cake, chocolate, crisps, sweets and all sorts that I haven't bothered with for a while.
Although to be fair I never had much intention of keeping up with Ms Michaels for any more than the three days I had planned. I don't have suitable space to do exercise at home other than in the lounge or the garage and having my OH permanently installed on the sofa there kind of cramps my style. There's no way I'd be allowing spectators!
My pedometer is nothing flash; just a freebie one I got in a goodie bag at a conference.
I'll see what I can manage over the weekend I might be able to find twenty minutes of me time to do some bits of 30 Day shred.Mortgage
