Hubby and I had a lovely long walk today and I managed to eat reasonably healthily all day
I found a selection of exercises on the NHS Livingwell pages and I have been doing the Firm Butt workout the last couple of days when I have a few spare minutes. They have ones for other problem areas and are worth having a quick look at.
My fitness DVDs arrived today so all I need to do is find time around feeding and looking after my newborn to do them :rotfl: They may need to wait a while although one has 10 min workouts that I could fit in during his catnaps.
Today I ordered my baby a swim nappy so we can all go swimming as a family and take it in turns to look after him while the others swim properly.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hello ladies,
I went AWOL for a long time there after only just starting to speak on the thread. My fabbing is zilch! Tonight I have put foot cream on and then socks to bed and cleansed my face properly. I know it doesn't sound much but it's a start!
I am however gettingy nails done every three weeks with gel polish which has meant I've been able to grow my nails. My intention is to try and make myself feel a bit better and less like a student.0 -
My toning exercises have resulted in incredibly sore knees
I am sure I was doing them properly but I can hardly walk with the pain and have been hobbling around the last two days.
However I did go for a very slow walk today and I have been keeping up the healthier eating. My baby has the cold so we are going to spend a few days cuddled up on the couch to make sure he keeps breast-feeding through it. The will be a challenge not to fall into bad eating habits. I will try to do one of the DVDs if he naps.
The Hairy Biker diet books arrived and at first glance they look really good, full of tasty and hearty foods so I am going to pick a few recipes to make over the coming weeks and see if I can vary our diet a bit more. I am conscious that I am not just eating for me at the moment but also for my baby so keen to get healthy
I hope you are all fabulous :jTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hello ladies
Thanks for the welcome back
Rummer well done on your continued exercising and book purchasing. Hope you have some delish dinners coming up.
I didn't do any fabbing todayalthough I have continued with my cleansing routine as I am trying to focus on getting this better to improve my skin.
I'm off work the rest of the week so I plan to catch up on some rest ( I have two jobs n I'm shattered) and then do my exercise DVD. Since I was told today at work I should tone up!!! Grrrrr although factually correct not the best chat
Hope everyone else is doing great fabbing0 -

Busy day today, started with my 8 weekly B12 injection - yay hopefully should have some energy in a few days, then on to physio session on my ankles and wrists. Back home for lunch and a few chores and then back into town for haircut and style.
OH and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary today, I was/am very tired this evening so just had an early evening one course meal at local pub, early night I think is now due.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Oh dear, that's not good, you be careful not to make it any worse.
I'm on Day 3 of my Boot Camp - I have done my 30 Day Shed again first thing and have found that getting up putting on shorts and sporty gear has put me in the mood to move more, do a few extra stretches and such like whilst standing around waiting for the kettle to boil, doing the dinner etc. I'm a bit over it with Jillian's star jumps already and I can't do push ups for toffee, so just as well I wasn't planning on completing the whole 30 Day program.
I dug out the pedometer also yesterday, so been doing a bit of extra pacing around just to get the count up. I'm feeling really good and no real pains but definitely aware that some muscles are there and telling me they are 'toning' up.
I know we shouldn't weigh ourselves every day but hard to resist when you think you're putting in the hard yards and can feel the difference. I am pleased to see my scales were showing a new low at 11st 1.5lbs this morning - I would love to see just that 1.5 pounds gone, so more pacing today and I shall go for a proper walk later on and try and get to 10,000 steps on the pedometer by end of the day.Mortgage

Morning all!
In need of a bit of a kick up the bum I'm afraid ladies.
So it's Wednesday, third day back at work and I'm already feeling overhwhelmed. Alarm at 5.30 and at bed for around 9.30- where's the fun in that? I'm regretting not getting more work done over half term but think I'll devote a full day this weekend to clearing some of the big marking and reports.
It's quite unsettling to go from feeling totally relaxed and content to going at 100mph! PHew think I just need a few deep breathing moments.
HAve a good day all- sorry I've not commented individually I will be back at the other end of the day![STRIKE]7lbs to lose [/STRIKE]

Good evening
Well we had a house day today so no walking however I did do my Vicky Pattinson 10 min workout and boy was it hard going! Just as well it was only 10 mins as I was exhausted by the end of it.
I am hoping that some of you may be able to advise me on fitness clothing. As I have mentioned I am a 14 and quite curvy and since I am exercising in the house and hoping to attend a few classes I would like to invest in some exercise clothing. I could wear a baggy t-shirt and my house joggies but I am self conscious enough and would like to wear some flattering and practical fitness clothes that would be suitable for a variety of fitness activities, any suggestions?
Hubby has taken the children out for a hour so I am just about to sort my eyebrows, pop on a face pack and do my nails. I need to make the most of every scap of timeTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0
