Inlay serves purpose in various circumstances; telling which game is which when shelved, looking proper and re-sale. Plus I wouldn't give a non-inlayed game to someone (and NO I AM NOT BUYING A PRINTER :P ).

And, to be fair, it's harder to lose a case than it is disc.

I've still not had a dispatch yet! Pfft! And re-listing is still live and has bids :p

I agree with the first part.

If you can't print a decent looking cover you need a new printer as it's clearly not great for printing anything :p

Actually I'm more likely to lose the disc. I take a game out the case and usually place the case on a pile of other games. When I go to play another game I take the disk out, place it to one side and put a new disk in so there's a chance I could lose the first disk at that point. I will point out that I've never lost either thankfully but I guess having a lot of games has its uses - always a pile to place another case on lol.

Shocking, you'd never expect that from a seller like that one  How much are they going for?
  • OP, although you have paid, you cannot force the seller to sell to you.

If your messages were as patronising as you say, coupled with the description which more people agree was correct than incorrect, I would say the seller has an excellent chance of having any feedback you leave removed. And as the listing has been identified I am sure that the seller will either be emailed some help or sent here to view this.

Still 58 hours left so still low level...and I'm not the highest bidder either ;)

Whilst they can no be forced to sell...that would be down to them. They either need to refund me or send them. If not, it goes down to Dispute.
As for removing feedback, I don't think they would. In the messages only referred to eBay policies. No threats to leave a negative, explained my side, explained what I would like...no reasons in there for eBay to remove it.
And if someone does e-mail the seller, so be it.

To clear the waters for you, as you do seem overly concerned, first message (after confirmed it was disc only):

    "Ah, that’s a shame :(

I would have thought that with listing saying that only cases were missing (and not, as you say now, disc only) that the inlays were still present.

As such, could you arrange for my bid to be cancelled then? It would save the time and effort of you sending them out and me returning them as ‘Not As Described’, incurring refund return postage costs. You should have a Second Chance Offer available to you then.

    Thanks in advance."

    Second:

"If you could cancel the bid, that would be appreciated.

I do not think it is very good that you have re-listed the item either and still not fully updated the listing. I am still open to pay for the item and you would then have to send the item. I would then have to do the above. (Ok, we all know they are under no obligation too...but again, if they don't, it's adding to the negative experience)

I messaged to save you the hassle but it seems like with going ahead and re-listing, you think you're in the right as I won't pay. You need to ensure this listing is closed off first before re-listing. Please arrange to cancel the bid today before I refer to eBay again, this time with a policy breach for duplicate listings.(http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/listing-multi.html)

    Regards."

I'd say it is more pedantic that patronising.

We've gone past the stage of "Oh my God, this listing is..." to where I've said it is to provoke debate and response. The problem is trivial, we've established what people think, now it is just the outcome to follow :grouphug: We've all had mountains made out of mole hills...but you don't usually get posting from someone on the side of instigation. Usually you get the person on saying they have had this message and don't know how to deal with it.

lol. It'll be interesting to see if it goes higher and if not whether they send it to you.

As you've now paid I have to agree about feedback. Despite everything before it was you originally that was unhappy to go ahead. The seller has no excuse not to go through with the sale. So long as feedback is factual and not threatening I see no reason why ebay would remove it.

It's a forum, there's never a stage where you've gone by something. At some point there's always someone who replies to an earlier comment/point or who ignores all messages (even pages and pages worth) and replies to the OP. Not sure what that says about the Internet though :rotfl:

More concerned for you that the waters are cloudy your end....clear as day with me ;)

Sometimes people do need patronising to realise what they’ve done wrong. Whether I am being patronising to them (which I haven’t been…much), I’m still letting them know what the rules are on eBay. I’d rather be told something I didn’t know than find out I was wrong and did nothing about it. I’d call that learning.

Refund received after case opened. Seller sent it without having to wait around for eBay to push it through...
