I know, I know. I was stringing it out for as long as possible.
At the end of it all, it is annoying that the two which are missing inlays are two of the most valuable ones.
The seller basically didn’t give two hoots when I messaged them (short shrift couldn’t give a monkies response) which is when I asked for the bid to be cancelled as I couldn’t rely on their description and it would save us both trouble if there was any more problems
The most valuable? Hardly. LA Noire I could easily get for £5 or less new and Max Payne 3 the same. Dead Island SE is worth a little more used.
Batman could be one of a few games but I'd guess that it was the first in which case that's also worth around a fiver. Obviously worth more if it's one of the newer ones. FIFA 12 is worth like 10p.
LEGO Harry Potter I've seen for less than £5 in clearance sales, but if you say on average it sells for like £7 that's still still more than LA Noire. It's about the same for Oblivion 5th anniversary edition.
The star wars one is worth a few quid.
Edit: Was looking at completed listing description. Looking at the original listing it has a stock photo for the second Batman game. Can still get that for around £6 though used so same still stands, it's not the most valuable. Just thought I'd edit/update though in case anyone else looked at the images.0 -

If you planning on re selling then perhaps it is not so much of a bargin as you are looking to make on that, as a personal seller I have come across re-sellers buying my stuff before and they are a nightmare to deal with!
You are correct in what you say they certainly should not have re-listed before you cancelled, have they sent you the cancellation request? What if they sell then you pay  then they would be stuck!
I know a lot about games. Decent price to pay as a bundle. I'd say on average bundles sell for £3 a game except where it's all FIFA games lol. Wouldn't get much for trade in though and after fees on selling you wouldn't be much better off.
Batman would sell fine even without a case, but LA Noire dropped in price and would be harder to sell without a case as you can get it for a few quid new.0 -

So based on that a private buyer should be happy with the price, they got a good to fair deal a re- seller not worth the hassle.
I never knew ps3 games were that cheap.0 -

Yep. As trade in value for the cased ones it's about £13 cash. However, that's based on cex only. Some price matching and you could probably get more, plus if you take credit it would be a fair bit higher. You generally have to pay more than what you'd get for trade in (I say generally because I personally always find games stupidly cheap lol). Most people pay at least double the trade in price.
Not all are that cheap. GTA, for example, is still around £35. All depends what you want to buy. However, with all video games it's quite possible to find games for £5 or less and a large amount under £10. Not to mention that for £30 a year you can buy PS+ for the PS3 which gives you access to free games. Gaming doesn't have to be expensive0 -
Saved me the trouble of pricing them all up again
Most would be worth between £3 and £5. FIFA.....50p if that!
Think I may pay...see what response I get then!0 -

lol
FIFA, be lucky to get 10p. I think one shop give 10p, the rest give nothing. But you can price match that and maybe get £1.10 credit if you're lucky and get a shop to price match and beat it by £1 credit. Be lucky to sell it for 50p with free postage on ebay.
Well they have no bids on the relist so they could always cancel that listing and send.0 -
Right, I've paid. That leaves me with the fact I will not get a strike on the account. The will either need to send me the games or refund me...leaving the onus fully on them :kisses:0

I am clearly in the minority here but people who think no casing = disc only?
That's crazy. How would you describe an item that has the inlay, disc and instructions?
If someone describes an item as "no case" then I would expect exactly that, no case, perhaps inlay too but the instructions/manual I would expect as this in no way is "part of the case" - that's like saying the disc is part of the case.0 -

I'd describe it as complete with disc, case and manual. I'd also include a photo which would show the inlay in the case.
Most gamers never look at an instruction manual and you don't take the inlay out. So if you lose the case the other two get lost with it, leaving just the disk which will have been taken out to play the game.
If you wanted to save space you'd probably just leave the manual with the disk and place the disk in there after gaming and throw the case with the inlay in to one side or in the bin or whatever, or just keep the disk by itself. The inlay wouldn't serve any purpose.
Not all games come with instruction manuals anymore though.0 -
Inlay serves purpose in various circumstances; telling which game is which when shelved, looking proper and re-sale. Plus I wouldn't give a non-inlayed game to someone (and NO I AM NOT BUYING A PRINTER :P ).
And, to be fair, it's harder to lose a case than it is disc.
I've still not had a dispatch yet! Pfft! And re-listing is still live and has bids0
