Literally cannot wait for payday! A whole week to go, argh.

Decluttered: storage tins, loads more paperwork, random kinder egg toys that were kicking about for unknown reasons, a pair of shoes, two pairs of unfit for purpose tights, some other little things I forget.

:www: MFW Wonderment: lots of OnePolling, remembered to use my railcard for train tickets, 75p into the kitty bank! Spending diary & budgets up to date. Have been making good use of leftovers and freezer bits. Grocery shop this month has been under £200, so we've been doing better than I realised. Would be great to get that reduced a lot further.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: a day off, watching the rain, bath salts, netflix films (just watched The Lunchbox - so good).

:heartsmil Burrow Building: the house is starting to feel more manageable, even if it gets chaotic at times it's getting easier and easier to put right (such a relief!). I should be able to get my reduced hours at work (YES!) but no idea when as we're in the midst of staffing problems (WOE!), crossing all my fingers and toes it's soon. Then I'll have a lot more time to keep things in order and have energy for fun stuff in the evening i.e. board games, pop out for a wander, reading novels. Have a few fun day trips in the works as well, all good. :D

Lovely day out. :T Though must remember to book reserve seats if I'm going to travel on seaside-bound trains on a Saturday morning during school holidays. I didn't know which bucket & spade was going to hit me first.

Ate too many sweets, hope I don't end up paying for it. I'll be back on the straight and narrow tomorrow, it is Sunday after all. ;)

Walked about 15,000 steps. :T Visited two museums, wandered around a lovely medieval garden, had a few stops for tea and cake (:o). Haven't been out exploring a new place with Mr M for, what feels like, ages... probably spent a bit too much... well, he did - I shall have to take him out to tea one of these days or some such thing. ;)

Simple Pleasures: sparkling sea, flowers in baskets, watching bees buzz over lavender.

Forgot to say, not a entirely non-MSE style day - Mr M won a doughnut (lol), we saved about £5 on a combined ticket for the museum visits, used railcards & saved £10-15.

Once an mse-er. always an mse-er. Even days out where we feel we were profligate and fast and loose with our cash, we have probably - nay definitely - not gone overboard nd let the money go like sand through our fingers! It just takes us a moment to realise that we HAVE been mse. Hope that makes sense - it's clear as anything inmy head!

5 monsters blanket stitched with room for stuffing to go in, and all have eyes. Monster 6 underway - he'll have stripes.

Hoping for a NSD after 8 days straight of spending!

Lol, that did make sense :D & you're right, it was probably very conservative compared to many other people would get up to :D

It's so funny you ended by talking about NSDs - it really is hard to spend money once you're into MSE habits :rotfl: Remember that your spends were planned as well, so quite legitimate :naughty::D :rotfl:

:T on the crafty creations - I'm always in awe of your productivity!

Unexpected couple of days off through illness, alas. Feeling okish today, just knackered (though slept for the best part of twelve hours!).

Another quiet day in front of the TV planned fortoday, but will try and do odd bits of tidying around the house as we have visitors at the weekend.

Not much money news, chased up TSB as it turns out they've lost/didn't bother to process my proof of ID. This happened when I opened something with Halifax as well. Not impressed that I'm going to have to go back down there. Oh well.

    Not long till payday

Decluttered: about 20% of our taped TV & around 10% of my Netflix list. :p

Ooooooh! Just looked up and there's a goldfinch sitting on my balcony! At last! I've seen them around here but never this close before - JOY! :smileyhea

I read that as 'goldFISH' :rotfl:

Glad you are mending - life has certainly been hectic for you recently, so do take the time required to fully recuperate, eh?

Sorry to hear you've been poorly PM, I hope you feel much better soon.

Apple muncher is right, I quite often feel like I've been really frivolous with my spending but on reflection I've quite often only spent a small amount. When I look at friends Facebook pictures etc I am  at the amount they must spend on days out -especially in the school holidays.

A goldfish would have been a sight indeed! :rotfl:

Never fear, I've had lots of naps and downtime of late - planning to continue on that trend for a fair while yet :D
