Alas on the tennis! I so wanted Fed to win, ah well. Prob for the best that it ended in four sets as I was running dangerously low on Pimms

Bought another cardigan when we were out, whoops!! Was £60 down to £24  If it's anything like my Monswoon one (last posh one I bought circa 2006) then I'll get many years use out of it. :D I do need to refresh my cardigans/jumpers, pleased that I held strong and have only bought ones I love. (Shall post link in a bit - can't on iPad in this post as I keep losing what I write, meh). It goes perfectly with my the skirt I bought on holiday, happy days. I'll declutter a v. bobbly cardigan I've had since 1995 to make room, methinks.

Watched Obama/Attenborough interview (wow) while eating tea (gorgeous chicken, ricotta, red onion & rosemary lasagne). Feel rather full now, and a little more gungho about environmental matters.

Mr M's booked the hotel for his birthday next year - Americaland here we come again! :T (West coast - so excited! But if I'm going to visit the wood of hollies then I simply must dispense with this fat suit - planning on searching Amazon later for weights to use during aerobicising, I've somehow lost two pairs during the course of all the house moves over the past few years :o).

Did some more self-employed planning. The one thing I really need to crack is getting up earlier do I can spend more time writing/making. Early riding is easy - it's the going to bed at a more sensible time to allow it that's that thing. Shall aim for early shower and into bed swiftly thereafter this eve. If I could marry that with some reading in bed then I'll be ultra happy. :)

    Cardigan! http://www.lauraashley.com/uk/invt/cd513

Rather more hourglass like on moi though, if I manipulate the top buttons/fold them back a bit, huzzah :)

    Beautiful cardi!

Re weights: also check argos and a general google search once you know what weight you want. Do go heavy as it is simply much more effective. Dumbells or kettlebells? Barbell or sandbag? Such fun!

And re getting up early: I've followed Craig Ballantyne for years and he has a great site called... Early to rise. Don't read it much but when I do, then it is inspiring. So now the tennis is over, you may have time to browse...

Ooh, that website looks good :T Thanks for the heads up, that'll definitely keep me busy for a while ;)

I'm after.... dumbbells! That's the name of them - I've not used them for so long I forgot :rotfl:

Good thinking on argos etc :D And for going a tad heavier - I'm wondering whether to just go for a set of three so I can alternate?

Though before I go mad with purchases I've asked my mum if she has any going spare, cross fingers she does as the thought of having to buy more when I already had some is rather irksome (could be the same reason why I've still not bought walking boots :o)

PS. That kind of magazine style blog/site is what I've been thinking of for mine - extra food for thought ;)

Had mini-meltdown this morn (due to tiredness/annoyance about work), but work was better than expected in the end and have finished the day doing some creative fun stuff (& Rocky Horror has just come on the box - shall wait til Dr Frank-N-Furter sings then head to bed :p) so feeling much chipper again, huzzah!

Oh, did this - http://youtu.be/hq2-Krn0K6c - for the first time in an age this morning. I almost died, I didn't realise I was that unfit. :o I used to breeze through this little exercise routine. Shall persevere as it has served me well in the past and save me the cost of a tummy tuck.

:www: MFW Wonderment: worked, had good news at work which means more pennies (whoop whoop), wrote blog (for etsy/making-related stuff - I need to give this a nickname methinks? Haven't started other blog idea, still in planning stages), ate leftovers for tea, said I'd do more hours at work this week (didn't really have a choice but hey ho, just hope I don't keel over from it) so even more pennies on their way. :T

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: sketching in the evening, walking home in the rain, the scent pouring off the flowers on the walk to walk.

:heartsmil Burrow Building: managed to take out recycling before it started to take over the kitchen for once. :rotfl: Plotting some summer days out and booked a few days away for my birthday (was starting to look cheaper to go abroad - ridiculous - but have managed to get a few days out by the coast, so pleased!).

Maybe ask on freecycle for dbells... We got a set yeeeeeears ago - argos (plonker here went to buy them ON THE BUS so had to drag them home!) 1.5k, 3k, 5k. The 1.5 are pathetic! So, I'd suggest 3 and 5. Or splash out and get a 'set' where you can add more weight plates....

Lol to the bus antics, sounds like something I'd do :rotfl:

Thumbs up for the weights advice, it's good to get an opinion from someone in the know :D I shall do some more researching - good idea on freecycle too ;)

In other exercise news - fitbit are going to send me a new zip! :j I'll be back in the game super soon :D

Perfect quiet day at work, I caught up with so many diaries! :T :shhh: :rotfl:

Done something silly to my hip though (no idea how, it keeps flaring up like this :o) so now stuck on the sofa with a hot water bottle, pray it tramples off soon.

Emergency pizzas-from-freezer tea due to inability to stand on legs.

Job for tomorrow: have a deeper think about I can schedule my time to complete/do other projects. Monday's/Tuesday's are write offs at the moment so I need to find a way to work round this without feeling like I'm constantly being thrown off track early in the week.

:www: MFW Wonderment: chased up TSB account, online login doesn't seem to be working, grr. OnePolled, worked, used dregs from Mr M's old bottles of water to revive plants. New fitbit coming my way soon, thank goodness I contacted them about it (usually things die and I never get it sorted in time :o).

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: cosying up inside away from the grey misty rain, getting quite excited at the prospect of whiling away afternoons reading in front of the Netflix fire while autumn rages outside. :D

:heartsmil Burrow Building: listened to music while reading books this eve, lovely :)

Incredibly busy day at work today... I couldn't do any of my planned MSE reading :rotfl:

Off early tomorrow afternoon - looking forward to some charity shop mooching :T really need to find some cheap pressies for Mr M, wish me luck!

Had a glorious time last night budgeting in bed. :rotfl: Still on course for saving around £1k by the end of the year, despite massive outlays for unexpected family-related travel. Think I might adapt my sig to gee myself on...

Oops, ended up buying a scanner this eve. Super good one in an Amazon Lightning deal, Mr M discovered it ALSO has £30 cashback from the makers website - so have ended up with a doubly better machine than expected for the same money I was intending to spend! Ultimately will have saved £100. Though scanner has cost £100 _pale_ but I had to get a good one for what I'm doing. Very chuffed at savings though. It should pay itself back through Etsy stuff - hopefully sooner rather than later ;) Must remember to keep receipt for tax purposes :)

Simple Pleasures: running cool tap water over my poor feet that have been running about all day!
