Smile as you enter the room, pour a glass of water and take a drink if you need time to formulate an answer. Don't be afraid to clarify what's being asked and make sure your answer is directly relevant to the question.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Thank you, everyone!
Interview went ok... Though I did feel rather out of practice.
I think I came across way calmer than I felt, and I remembered to smile a lot, and clarify questions thanks INOD! :T I hope my answers were relevant but I probably wasn't as succinct as I am under usual circumstances, a tad annoying but who knows, maybe they thought it was ok? I'll hear by the end of next week most probably.
Either way, definitely good practice for that kind of role as even though I could do it blindfolded, I've never had to interview for something like it so now I know what sort of questions are asked. Delivering an analysis of my working practices when I do something naturally/by habit as I've always just had to get on with things is not my strong point - I've not come out of a university environment (as often others have, especially in that sort of workplace) where these skills may be more second nature to them? I'll have to spend more time on that methinks. Anyhoo, we'll wait and see!
Oh, and I only forgot what the original question was once. :rotfl: Possibly a record for me.a penny picker upper. Have spent most of the day on the sofa in a state of severe knackeration. Thank goodness for tennis and books to keep me occupied. :T
Somehow managed to do laundry and get the dishwasher on, ignoring everything else.
Having digested yesterday a little more, I'm not that sure I'd want the job. It's a little bland and sounds stressful.... even though it's more money I'm not sure if it's enough considering what I'd have to go through to get it. Hmm. I didn't get the greatest of vibes while I was there either, especially from the manager that interviewed me - he seemed like hard work. At points he was sitting there with arms crossed which put my back up a bit - doesn't seem like the best kind of body language to display when you have to work with/instruct/lead people?!
I'll think about it a bit more, but considering it's the type of work that I walked away from before maybe I just have to look forward instead of getting caught up in all that nonsense again.
Spending diary and budgets uptodate. Have to travel up the road for an unexpected family event this week. It's fairly cleared out my savings from this month but I suppose that's what they're there for. Better luck next month.
Though I've realised that both my parents have big birthdays next year As well as Mr Merle. Oh heck. Really going to have to get my thinking cap on for those.
In happy life news - MyFitnessPal tells me I've averaged 20g sugar from mostly unprocessed foodstuffs (so it mostly came from fruit etc) this week. Exactly the kind of level I wanted to get down to, feeling very chuffed :T

Listen to your intuition - it's giving you a really strong message here.
I interviewed for a job a couple of years ago and had concerns about the manager but really clicked with the director so accepted the role against my instincts. It turned out the manager was even worse than I feared and I only lasted 3.5 months before I handed my notice in0
