I love lovely stir fries, but Mr. Hbbb feels underfed if I make one for tea. I usually make them as a treat for myself when he's out training or such! Yup, just realised how lame that sounds, I should at least be reaching for chocowine in his absence!
Haha, we have quite a few tea situations like that here as well. Though Mr Merle is starting to come round to my more veg-based dishes now. Though it all usually has to be cut up quite small. :rotfl:
They're finally going to be building an Aldee in our town - not near home but on Mr. Hbbb's way home from work! Huge excitement (no kidding)!
I can well believe it, Aldees are amaze to the zing! Watch your food bills tumble, tumble! :j
Yay to bids and lucky 1ps How do people manage to find this magical roadkill? I just can't walk and look at the same time, that's how accidents happen!
:rotfl: Actually, this is probably why I wear flat shoes now. :rotfl:

Desire to find more pennies sends all thoughts for my own safety flying out of my head. ;)
Awww, but am now stressing for them - there's weather on the way, hope they have a nice warm sheep shed!
They were indeed tucked up in a nice shed, and thank heavens, the winds up there on top of the hill were ridiculous, I almost got blown over!

Good news: it's not a particular pair of shoes causing my hip/leg problem so I get to keep my shoes. Bad news: I can't just chuck out a pair of shoes and be better. :( I think it might be a trapped nerve, I'm off to the doc's next week to get it checked out though because it's getting a bit ridiculous.

Yesterday was a weird day (included a mini-meltdown about nonsensical things but back on track now :o), we both spent most of the day doing work things, at one point a good looking job came up for Mr M but turns out there's some confusion over the role and that it may not be available after all, or may open up again six months. Rather frustrating as it had been advertised several weeks ago but he missed it, I suppose it was meant to be but it's all very irksome.

Anyway, we were both rather exhausted yesterday, highlight of the day was going to Costko and buying their cinnabon cake-like thing. £3.49 for a massive iced cinnamon bun! We'll be eating it forever! It tastes amazing... I was supposed to be giving up sugar for a while but erm, maybe I'll do that after I've finished it?

Had a little spend today of £2 on a CD, literally cannot remember the last time I bought a CD (a good three or four years ago?!) but this was a a pretty rare album by on my favourite artists, I literally can't believe it was only two quid, it's almost impossible to find her stuff in this country, and it was only by chance I even noticed it, what a find. :D

In bad news for my bank account: Kate Bush announces live gig dates. I do not care what I have to sell to afford a ticket, I'm determined to be at one of them!

:www: MFW Wonderment: Had another day out today, remembered to take a good supply of snacks with us so that helped keep us going & saved us a bunch of pennies. More money saved with our railcard. 1Poll ticking over again.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: having a picnic of cake while out and about, rather scrummy and tastes all the better for being (relatively) free. :D

:heartsmil Burrow Building: identified more stuff to sell/get rid of, starting to feel like the space in the house is becoming more workable. We also spent some time chatting about MFW type plans and thoughts on houses and things, always good to see we're pretty much on the same page about these things (ie. don't want to spend a fortune on upkeep or an overly large place).

I'm thinking all OPs might have to take a slight detour to the Kate Tickets fund for the foreseeable future, INOD :o;)

I literally cannot believe she's doing two weeks of shows, I never thought I'd see the day. I'm so ridiculously excited, I can't stop thinking about it/flinging myself around the house singing "wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow-ow, UNBELIEVABLE!"

    ...or stop watching THIS. :rotfl:

Mr Merle's off to visit rollercoasters with friends today, so I have the whole (messy) house to myself. I was planning on a major clean & tidy & catching up on work things but now I see there's a Hitchcock marathon on BBC2... so we'll see what gets done.

I sense a list upon the air...!

    Purple = done.
    • sort recycling
    • dishwasher on (twice, no doubt)
    • laundry (as much as poss)
    • clear surfaces in kitchen/living room
    • sort out random accumulated piles of stuff in living room
    • clean bathroom
    • gather newly identified ebay/charity shop together
    • gather freecycle/offer to friends things together
    • meal plan for the next while
    • update freezer/cupboards list
    • work out what on earth to have for tea (omelette probably :o)
    • make muesli for tomorrow
    • declutter inbox, unsubscribe from unwanted mailing lists
    • kick back with a cup of tea and read my book :D
    • catch up with diaries!
    • do as many open surveys as possible

...this might stretch into tomorrow, I had a very lazy morning. :o

ETA: Ooh, free listings on eBay again this weekend! Hurrah! :D

Good luck getting your list done. I'll be posting a list myself just as soon as I've caught up on all these diaries that people have been posting so much on!

Carried on like mad thing on Saturday and then promptly needed a rather long lie down on the sofa. Ended up having crackers for tea. Nice cheap dinner. ;)

A few things lingering on the list, so I'll wind those up today if I have time between worky things and before heading out to the cinema (must make full use of weekly travel ticket & cinema card). :money:

Impromptu full day out yesterday to !kea & garden centre, relatively harmless as we only came back with a cushion cover & some Dryck Paskmust. Then dinner at the inlaws and another night on the sofa watching Poirot (was all I was fit for after walking about all day). No ebaying done as I couldn't function, better luck next time!

Looking forward to this week being a bit more normal, if anything having time off (when I feel normal as opposed to ill which has been the case lately) has made me realise more than ever that decluttering (the house, various commitments, digital nonsense, everyday life things that I think I have to do) will actually make life a lot simpler and not so overwhelming when it builds up (as it invariably will from time to time). I'd much rather spend the majority of my time doing nice stuff rather than catching up with things I don't have much care for. It's easy to forget about priorities and for fluff and nonsense to worm their way in before you know it.

No non-worky things in the end, just got sucked in. Which I suppose is for the best really(!)

Picked up a couple of books from the library, must remember to try and read them... the others I have seem to be here on a free holiday.

:www: MFW Wonderment: work, work, work, got money's worth out of council tax (library), 1Poll.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: receiving super things in the post and the lovely generosity of MSE chums :smileyhea

:heartsmil Burrow Building: work = money = happy house :o

    Bring on tomorrow!
