Another day out & about. So far we've saved £22 using the Two Together railcard, Mr M's started up a spreadsheet so we can track it. :D

P*M, sorry it's been so long, thought I'd just not caught up with threads for a few days, but your thread seems to have moved so quickly, you're so busy!

Re: the quote above, made me laugh ... "so we can track it" pun intended?

If you don't mind, I've taken the liberty of PM-ing you, P*M!

I find that certain shoes make my right knee hurt, so that is my barometer to get rid of them. I try to be ruthless - after all, why keep and wear shoes that cause pain? Fewer footwear choices, but fully functioning limbs!

I second this A*M - my evil old blister boots have been ruthlessly chucked out, they weren't giving me blisters because they're new but because they were so old! so, as you rightly say, why hang on to them?

Today has been a bit grim :( Hopefully normal service will resume asap. Thankfully I have some homemade coffee icecream to help.

In much happier news, have been selected for dishwasher tab product testing, can't wait for them to arrive. :D

:www: MFW Wonderment: surveys done & spent all day looking for more work, hope someone gives me some. :( Actually listed things on eBay! 7 things up and one has a bid already, hurrah!

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: that moment when the icecream has melted just enough, mmmm.

:heartsmil Burrow Building: Mr M has kindly bought me a book which by the sounds of it will kick me into action/transform my life. I hope. :rotfl:

Oops, only just spied your comments! Wrote the above post and left the tab open forgetting to post it until much, much later. :o

I have a whole history of not ever being that sensible. :o I've abused my feet terribly, hopefully my thought patterns are now changing however. I would dearly like fully functioning limbs. :j

Hbbb, I just have stupidly fast typing skills and can chatter on about nonsense forever.. too busy typing, not enough actually doing some would say. :o

PS. Haha "so we can track it", pun not intended at all, I never even noticed. That's pretty standard fare for me. (Spied that one though! Boom-tish!)

  • What's the title of the life changing book? I've bought a fair few of these over the years but struggle not to feel a tad insulted when others buy them for me. :)

:rotfl: INOD, I'm the same. :D

The books is Rip It Up by Richard Wiseman. Hope it arrives soon, it actually does look really good

If you like life changing books, I heartily recommend How To Do Everything And Be Happy, The Lilypad List and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, those are my ultimate favourites :D

Feel so much more chipper today, spent a nice day recharging and what a difference it's made, feel ready to blast on again with things tomorrow (whew, to be quite honest!).

Electricity and water readings done, hopefully doing another batch next month will let us negotiate with the suppliers and get the prices down a bit.

Amazing stir fry for tea, vegtastic! We definitely need to remember to make them more often (as it was super cheap too).

Popped into Aldee for, wait for it, dishwasher tabs (have run out, don't expect the test pack to arrive any time soon... watch it turn up tomorrow) and picked up some vino (got to test all these award winners!).

:www: MFW Wonderment: found 1p while out & about, and then another! All now safely in the kittybank. Bids on eBay starting to rack up, woohoo!

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: went to see little lambs (barely a day old!) and bambi-like calves, too adorable for words (they had the most gorgeous velvety ears!)

:heartsmil Burrow Building: Mr Merle had another day off and we ticked off some more stuff that's been on the To Do list for a while, including but not limited to eating the world's most amazing pork sandwich.

  • It's great to have a pockley day. My favourite self help book is the f*ck it way. Compulsory reading.

Glad you're feeling a bit more rested, sometimes just having the head-space helps a bit!

Electric man did ours earlier in the week, although am sure he adds on a bit for the inconvenience of dogs trying to get into cupboard under the stairs with him (it's a huge game)!

I love lovely stir fries, but Mr. Hbbb feels underfed if I make one for tea. I usually make them as a treat for myself when he's out training or such! Yup, just realised how lame that sounds, I should at least be reaching for chocowine in his absence!

Popped into Aldee for, wait for it, dishwasher tabs (have run out, don't expect the test pack to arrive any time soon... watch it turn up tomorrow) and picked up some vino (got to test all these award winners!).

They're finally going to be building an Aldee in our town - not near home but on Mr. Hbbb's way home from work! Huge excitement (no kidding)!

:www: MFW Wonderment: found 1p while out & about, and then another! All now safely in the kittybank. Bids on eBay starting to rack up, woohoo!

Yay to bids and lucky 1ps How do people manage to find this magical roadkill? I just can't walk and look at the same time, that's how accidents happen!

Awww, but am now stressing for them - there's weather on the way, hope they have a nice warm sheep shed!

Glad you've had a good day! Nearly the weekend too! x
