Well that was annoying!!
I got to the Spa and I only had 1 booking . I checked with the owner and he said that the 2nd treatment guest was arriving late so had to cancel. It would have been nice to have been told.
During the treatment my client said she has terrible dry hair and scalp. I said that the Indian Head Massage uses really nourishing oils that would help, so she said she was going to try to book herself in for tomorrow night. Fingers crossed she does and I can still make the amount I had hoped for this week.
Dd is being a sweet heart and baking us a cake. I happened to mention that we could really do with one for packed lunches but I wasn't sure if I could be bothered to make one and she said she would do it. she is 8!!!.
I have written down the instructions and lined the cake tins and she is doing it all. What a star!!!!.
I need to teach them a few evening meal recipes now and I will get to put my feet up :rotfl:0 -
Morning,
Just having a quick coffee before its house tidying day for me .
Haven't paid much attention to the house in the last week and its beginning to show, I have no plans today so REALLY need to get going.
Think if I stick Dave Ramsey on some headphones that should keep me going whilst I tackle everything.
Not much else planned. The childrens school have asked if I could go in for the day tomorrow to help with their Roman day. They are all dressing up, and doing cookery and making things etc. I am not feeling much like the thought of it at the moment. I said I would check my diary and get back to them. Am I being a miserable old goat not wanting to do it??. 26 children all in one room never fills me with delight;).
Might try and find time to pop down the polytunnel as well. I haven't been down there since the weekend, so ought to check all is well.
what are you all doing today?
Lhead - I found the first 6 episodes of series 6 of TVD on Itunes. £2.49 per episode though. I have told myself i can watch two per week, £5 out of my fun money.
Also just seen the trailer for Magic Mike XXL last night....phew weee. Looking forward to that one
Have a great day all xxx0 -
Aww that's rubbish £2.50 an episode!
Hope you get some cleaning done. That's my job today is I've been neglecting it, but at the moment I'm procrastinating on MSE.....Debt FREE thanks to YNAB0 -
Hi Steph,
Hope the cleaning is coming along well...!!!!
How did your dd's cake effort turn out last night? You only mentioned having a cuppa this morning, no mention of a slice of cake sooo.....?
I am having a very unproductive day, can't seem to get going at all.. Have been on my 'yawn' course this morning and then was waiting on confirmation from my dd about the trip tonight. Unfortunately it is on so I will be mum taxiing again...
Currently cuddling my neighbours cat, who appears to have adopted me and drifitng around mse.... naughty.....
I would be busy tomorrow if I was you... 26 children.. I think I would prefer housework.. although it does get you out and about and as we know that can be good for us...!
Hope you enjoy the rest of the day...

Hi Lhead
Well, I have managed to blitz the kitchen, but spent far too much time watching the Vampire diaries and crying:o. I could have got ALOT more done, BUT I think its been a good work / play balance today :rotfl:
Big thank you to you, you have made me very happy todayHi Steph,

Hi Puzz
Well embarrassingly Dd's cake was absolutely gorgeous and alot lighter and fluffier than my cakes usually are. She made two chocolate sponges and as it was late, I sandwiched them with some chocolate butter icing once they were in bed.
Dd was very proud this morning when i told her how amazing the cake tasted. :T.
shame you are mum taxi again tonight, I guess I will have that all to come when mine start getting social lives.
Think I am going to keep quiet tonight about helping tomorrow and if asked again I will have my excuses ready. I know that doesn't make me a very nice person but I REALLY don't want to spend the whole day in the school tomorrow.
I have made quite good progress with the cleaning today, but i have sooo much more that needs doing, i am better spent at home, even though i drive myself crazyxxx
Hope you managed to get just a little bit done today and a few cups of coffee in between

Hi Steph please don't feel guilty about not helping out in school.
You don't often get to do the things you want to do or need to do.
If there are 26 pupils I am sure they will be able to find other helpers. I know they usually just ask the people they can rely on, but in this case they will need to ask someone else.
You seem to be getting back to your usual happy self, which is great to see. Long may it continue.
Take care x0 -

My Friday, 26 kids dressed up as Romans or major dental work................I might just choose the kids Steph! Good to hear that you are sorting things out and having some time for yourself I would swerve school in your position.
Have a good day.0 -
Thanks so much Kelpie, Buffy and Toot.
I dodged school and looks like I got away with it, I do feel abit bad as if Dd knew she would have loved me to be in school all day. BUT I have had quite an upside down busy week and I had been looking forward to Thursday and Friday, to get the house sorted and if I feel like I am rushed and the house is a utter mess then I start to feel out of control and then I get miserable. So I am glad I didn't go.
Boy money is tight this week. Hubby finished his long term house renovation job on Wednesday and has been paid for 2,1.2 days. (Had Monday after noon of for Hospital appointment) Yesterday he looked at a job in the morning and that was it. Today he has gone up to the next farm to do some electrical jobs for them, but not sure how long that will take.
The 2nd week of the month is an expensive one because the Council Tax & electricity bill go out.
I have allocated the money to all the bills, but no money left over for food . Hopefully today will be a full days work and then will get paid over the weekend and I will then be able to go shopping on Monday.
Aaargh I hate being so poor.0
