Thanks Tootallulah xx
I'm a little bit livid atm
Backtracking slightly - Dd has been doing some jobs for me around the house to earn some pocket money and I cashed up her money into a £5 note for her on Friday.
As you know yesterday we had that girl round who was picking on Ds, her mum left and the girl stayed for the afternoon to play with Dd. They spent all day in her bedroom playing with her barbies.
Then she went home at 5pm ish and Dd went down to their house for a sleepover and Ds went to his friends to sleepover.
Ds didn't know that his sister had a £5 note and as his bedroom is downstairs he never goes upstairs.
So just an hour ago I go to put the washing away in dd's bedroom and I notice her £5 wasn't in her money pot. Its a see-through plastic pot with a coin counter in the lid so instantly easy to see what is in there.
I went to collect Dd and asked her if she had hidden her £5 note anywhere. she said she didn't and it was there yesterday as her friend got it all out and counted it for her!!!!:mad::mad:
I obviously cannot prove anything so won't say anything, but who else could it have been.??
I have told Dd that I will replace it for her at some point in the week and not to mention it to anyone in school or her brother. But the friend is never allowed to come over to play again.
I am so annoyed. I have her over here because she is picking on my son and then she steals from my daughter.Grrrrrrrrrrrr0 -
What a TOTAL cowbag!!!
how dare she!
It is funny, but when I was a kid I used to have to walk to school with this horrible girl who had joined new about half way through a year.
She'd knock for me in the morning and one day mum let her in to wait for me and she took my hair clip off the mantelpiece. I was so upset and confronted her in the front room, she denied it and then proceeded to tell the teacher at school that I was accusing her of stealing. Me being me stuck to my guns but of course because she was crying(!) I got told off, the inference being her case (which now as an adult I understand) that she did not have anything so couldn't I who had both parents and a normal life let her have the clip. I was so upset and hated her for that!!!!
definitely do not let her near the house again!!!
xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Thanks Buffy
If I was brave enough I would mention to her mum that £5 had gone missing out of my daughters room and just to keep an eye out that if her daughter suddenly has some money or she finds a £5 note then we are who it came from.
In reality, my friendship with her mum is on abit of thin ice anyway, so this could very easily escalate into all out war, so in the end it's really not worth it.
All in all just Bl**dy annoying. xx0 -

I am totally addicted to The Vampire Diaries atm, but only have about 3 episodes of Series 5 left to watch and then i have to wait for Series 6 to start on ITV2. Don't want it to end
xxxxx
Some of series 6 has already been on ITV2 Steph, about 6 or 7 episodes. They are currently on the 'mid season break' where they all stop for Christmas, and I think they'll be back on this month. You need to watch the first bit of the series though, otherwise you'll have no idea what's going on!
P.s. I agree with Plan BWe need to sort out an emergency fund too...
I'll hopefully have that parcel in the post today - I keep forgetting to grab it on my way out the door!

Hi wantabetterlife,
Yes it was very annoying, have replaced Dd's money in her pot. Didn't have the heart not to sort it out for her as she has been doing lots of jobs to try to earn that money. Some of series 6 has already been on ITV2 Steph, about 6 or 7 episodes. Hi Lhead,
Oh no....I did read somewhere that series 6 started last October, but then lots were talking about it starting in February, but that must be the 2nd half.
Hmmm Not sure what I can do as Netflix isn't showing any of series 6 yet and probably wont for AGES!!.
but don't really want to watch half way through the series. Aaaargh frustrating. Will have to do abit of googling.
No rush for the books but thanks alot xxxx0 -
Sorry i didn't post yesterday, it was a weird messed up day.
It started with a phone call from FIL at 7.30am to say that his long-term girlfriends grand-son had committed suicide. Her grandson lived with her and FIL since he was 11 years old so they have virtually raised him.
He was only 22. His life had gone into a spin last year. He accidentally got a new girlfriend pregnant who turned out to be not a very nice person. They split up and she proceeded to use the child as a pawn in her crazy mind games with this lad. She was thoroughly horrible to him and made his life a misery, when all he wanted was to be allowed time with his son who is now 6 months old. I think he also had alot of financial worries as he had flit between a few labouring jobs the last year and owed quite abit of money to various family members.
So sad that he felt there was no way out or possible solution to his troubles.
So yesterday morning I went over to FIL's and tried to comfort them some way until the rest of her family arrived as they all live in and around Derby.
I left their house at 1pm, hubby then had his hospital appointment, Ds came home from school early as he was upset about what he had happened. Ds used to go off with him in his tractor quite often.
I ended up having to get a takeaway last night as I had planned on doing the food shop Monday morning so the cupboards were bare.
I did my treatment this morning and now just have to finish the shopping list and I will pop into town before school pick up to finally get the weeks food shop done.
Going to a friends house tonight for drinks and nibbles which will be lovely, then a busy day tomorrow with my two hours of cleaning in the morning and two treatments starting at 5.30pm.
Hope you are all well. This week can only get better.0 -
Oh no Steph
How horrible
I think yesterday was a bad day all round - a close family member of mine was told they have cancerHopefully as they've caught it really early it will be curable, but there's always that niggle in the back of your brain saying 'what if'....
Hope the week get's better for you.
Did you have any snow? 1/4 inch here and DD's school was closed for the morning. Honestly what is wrong with this country?!
