Gosh where does time go. I am currently preparing for my first event of the season with my horse and having a mini panic that we might not be fit enough so after seeing to them in the morning I am running  and have realised how unfit I am. I just hope I have enough time to improve my fitness before then.

I have made a few overpayments but have also paid my entry fees and bought a new pair of competition breeches (cash). I have ebayed a few things and still doing the odd survey and swagging although probably only going to make £10 from that this month but every little helps.

Hope everyone is well and I will get around to catching up with you all soon xx

Gosh where does time go! Well this weekend I completed my first BE Horse Trials Event and am pleased to say that both me and my horse were fit enough so my running has paid off.

It does mean however that with all the added expense for that I have slacked a bit on the loan overpayments so its time to knuckle down and get on with it now.

Just missed a free listing weekend due to competing but have put a pile of stuff to one side that I can sell on ebay. So far I am still on target to pay off the loan this year but would really like to do it sooner if I can.

Will catch up everyone's diaries soon. Take care off to update my signature with the overpayments that I have made.

Lucky thing you! I envy you competing. Those days are long gone for the Captain.

Hi LAM - just found your diary - it's that time of year again so I guess you're off doing horsey things and enjoying them. You've had a rough time - here's to being under 5k though :)

    Thanks P and DF.

I have had a bit of drama which has led to unexpected cost! I don't have much immediate family left but am very close to those that I do have. A relative was very poorly so I had to make a trip to Europe to sort some stuff out. Of course anything that is not planned is always expensive and sods law a few weeks back I decided to go have my eyes tested and needed new glasses and used my horse fund to treat myself to prescription sunglasses as well as I do a fair bit of driving for my job!

So I have had to use my credit card which I kept for emergencies. This means any overpayments to my loan will go on hold until I can sort the credit card. Looking at my spreadsheet I should still be on target for Dec 2014 if I find an extra £200 along the way which should be do-able. I just cant think about that now till credit card is sorted.

So this morning I have cleared down all small savings accounts / pots, listed some stuff on ebay and down enough surveys to make my head fuzzy!

I have 2 specialist saddles that I have been debating whether to sell as I really love them but in reality I am not going to use them with my current horses so its best they go. They are of too a high a value to put on ebay so will photograph and send out to specialist sites.

I just need to refocus and crack on with the extra money making. I can do this!

Hope you all have a nice bank holiday weekend and don't spend too much ;):D
