Not much happening in money making land.

Need to do groceries and put fuel in car so will see whats left in budget after that.0 -

Gosh things have been a bit hectic. Groomed for a friend at a big horse show over the weekend and just cant seem to catch up all the little bits now.
I have made some more overpayments to the loan, sold something on EBay and after my normal monthly payment will update my figures as of March next week.
You will never believe it but I got an email from EON saying my direct debit has increased to £75!! It wont let me change it as it says its getting ready for my annual review (May 2014). Will def be shopping around they are just messing up my budgets now.0 -
A bit odd that they are preparing for May by increasing your DD in February. I'm not sure that makes any sense. Sounds more like greed to me.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

I think Malcolm from EON needs to jump in here again. They aren't doing themselves any favours by behaving like this are they

Sorry for the late reply LAM but not around yesterday.
Monthly payments are calculated based on current prices and past usage. As there's been a refund, our system thinks there's not enough credit to cover usage up to the annual review and so ups the monthly amount.
I do understand your circumstances have changed so the new monthly amount is probably too high. We can change this.
Just let us have your latest meter readings. We'll bill the account up to date and amend accordingly.
As your annual review is in May, it's likely there are only a couple of payments left before this. In these circumstances, we lock the online Direct Debit Manager I mentioned above. This is to prevent too many changes immediately before the review. We've found this can cause difficulties going forward.
If you prefer, drop an email with your details and meter readings to the address in my Profile. I'll be happy to help.

Thanks Malc - will try get some readings this weekend. The new £75 has come out for this month now.
I don't know where time goes - I really need to refocus a bit.
I got the horse insurance quote through and have enough money to pay that and should make another overpayment but I have bought myself a new top and paid for entry fees for a competition coming up.
Current balance £4,905 so will update total on siggy soon. YAY under £5k.
I still haven't weighed myself - too scared as still eating crisps and biscuits but my work trousers feel a bit looser and I have upped my riding due to better weather and the upcoming competition
Have not managed to get anything on ebay or done much on surveys - will refocus over the weekend.
Have a good one everyone0 -
