Maybe set the limit that you will spend as the change you are putting in the bank - so no worse off.
    Hope the horse improves soon.

Not been on in a few days and even though not much to report I need to refocus - this is what happens to me I start off all guns blazing and then lose focus a bit. Hence the diary!
So regular loan payment has gone out and I managed a small £20 overpayment for now.

Listed a couple of things on ebay - ran out of energy and willpower to do more.
Still owed some money for my self employed work which is annoying as this person usually pays promptly.

Not much else happening in 'trying to make money' land :)
  • I'm the same LAM I'm either going for it or missing in action. At the moment I want to be going for it but I reckon I have, yet again, set my sights too high and it's putting me off and making me feel inadequate as I am failing miserably to keep to them

So today I received my latest EON bill to find that I am £132.50 in credit and after trying to look into my DD it has increased from £55 to £57! Just doesn't make sense. Does this happen with all suppliers? I could do with some of it back seeing as we have been in credit for the past few bills.

I feel like I am ignoring my loan account overpayments as I am now 'sub saving' towards the annual horse insurance bill but its been bothering me so have used my bank reward £5, this weeks £5 from Swags and £7 rounding off the budget for the week and have overpaid £17 into the loan :)
I am hoping to receive the insurance bill in the next week or so and then I when I know how much I need I will overpay the rest into the loan.

BT used to do the same to me! My DD would go up every few months and then I'd have to keep pestering them for a refund! It's a right pain!

I stopped my DD for that reason. I was fed up with constantly giving them too much.

I now pay online quarterly and pay exactly what I owe. It's much easier.

Who are you with Jwil - I think I am going to do that from May when my product term ends.

I can get back some or most of the credit but they will put the DD up again to make sure they are covered. For what I don't know as I have already proved we only use a certain amount. I am going to leave it for now and shop around and when I change in May they will have to refund me all the credit!

Not much happened this week - have done a bit more self employed work but all this money will go towards my horse insurance which is due 20 March and then I can get back on track with the loan. My current balance is £5,578 which is a bit unbelievable for me. There was time that I thought I would have a massive loan and debt hanging over me forever.
  • Delurking to say that, like Jwil, I pay my bill quarterly online. My account is with the same supplier as you. I don't think they are keen on people paying in arrears rather than DD, of course, but if you phone and ask, they may switch you over to paying quarterly.
