Poor girlie - hope she picks up soon.
I've got one in with laminitis. He was diagnosed with EMS 3 years ago and once we got insulin levels under control he tested positive for cushings  he was only 8 at the time. Bloods this time show his levels for cushings are ok but insulins high.
The other had he's booster whilst the vet was out, was a complete prat about it and has ended up with a great big bruised swelling. Silly pony!0 -

Oh poor pony1 such a worry. Hope pony2 is better soon. I had one that didn't like the vet and jumped about and often had swellings after vaccinations. I think she had needle phobia (like me).0 -
So filled the car and used coupon - £3 off! Put it on my credit card and then transferred this weeks fuel budget over - will transfer next weeks fuel budget over when I get paid on Monday - expenses should be paid too.
I just need to be as conservative as I usually am. I tend to take advantage of full tank sometimes and do unnecessary trips.
Didn't quite finish my self employed project - hopefully this week - needs some more tweaking after client has agreed something.
Managed grocery shop in budget and have £20 left over which I am going to keep for now and will add to excess next week for overpayments.
£5 expected this week from Swags too so can probably overpay £25 to loan when that comes through.
Have banked PPI cheque so probably Friday will decide once and for all how I am splitting that up. Horse emergency fund is very low and my own savings / emergency fund is not great anyway.0 -
Hi LAM,
Wow you have been busy! Well done on doing so well with Grocery Budget, I wish I could say the same. I can't wait for next month to start, so I can do better!
Hope horsies are better now, poor things, and poor Horse Emergency Fund, it's taken a bit of a battering recently. Thank goodness for PPI compensation!
Have a lovely day! xx0 -
Just a quick update as in the middle of a very busy week which hopefully will bring financial rewards at the end of the month
PPI cheque cleared after a day (is that because its a bank cheque?) and so have put some back into horse emergency fund (now stands at £200) and some into my own emergency fund (now stands at £500) and rest into loan.
Balance now owing on loan £6,200
Hope everyone ok and the week is going ok for you.
Will catch up diaries later.0 -

Thanks LAM - pony 1 is very up and down at the mo but does seem a bit more comfortable. Pony2 is back to he's usual naughty, mischievous self thank goodness!
How's your mare doing? Hope she's feeling better.0 -
Great news about the ppi cheque :T"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Wow, that PPI cheque came right in handy, and your loan will soon be sub 6k!
Hope you are taking care of yourself and not working too hard, I don't want you to get burnt out or run down and ill. I did that and I somehow ended up spending more money than I should have
Have a lovely weekend LAM! xx0 -
Thanks EB x
Gave myself today off from money making lol. Rode mare 1 who is back on top form. Unfortunately needed some more antibiotics for mare2 but it is going down we are about half way so hopefully this second course will knock it on the head.
I then had a sleep :rotfl:
So tomorrow I need to catch up on Swags, adpoints, surveys and grocery shop.
But I did finish my self employed work in the week so just need payment for that. I also worked a few OT hours and payday on Monday so will be able to make another overpayment soon. I would like to try £201 before end of Jan as that would bring me sub £6k (just lol).
I got an email today saying free listing on ebay but not sure if I can photograph and list tomorrow. I have also promised a friend some help with her horse at a competition tomorrow morning.
Will be back tomorrow with my latest goals / targets for the next 4 weeks ahead.0 -
Hi LAM
You sound to be pretty busy!! I don't know how you manage to do well with the Swags. I've been at it 3 weeks and got 300 points (most of which were for 1 survey & for signing up!) I spent the last 2 weekends playing all the videos on there all day long while doing housework etc, just left laptop on and clicked a new vid every few mins, but still getting no-where. I've given up on it now and sticking to adpoints, mysurvey & opinion outpost. I find it easier to get rewards with them.
Good luck with your goals and targets!! Hope they are easy to achieve! :T
GMOOD xx:)LBM 01/03/12 Debt £[STRIKE]27924[/STRIKE]
