Hi RR - thanks for your nice comments. Its not always easy I just hope I can keep going and get rid of it once and for all.0 -
Long shifts Thursday and Friday so been too knackered to play computers. Need to catch up my Swags today too.
Good news a little OT earned bad news I had a tuna baguette on Thursday and crisps both days and fish and chips yesterday  Only problem working off site you tend to do what the others do. I did share a mini F&C with another person though.
Always good with bad - today my PPI cheque arrived - YAY - will go bank next week - bad news - went to ride and my other horse is not well and so had to go pick up some antibiotics for her! Another £35 from the horse emergency fund! its always something!
I managed to ride the previously hurt one which behaved like it was going up the track to join the start at the Grand National and now I am have a cuppa before going back to bring them in and give little one her meds. I am scared to sit here too long in case I fall asleep lol.
Catch you all later x0 -
Oooh, another horse-owner diary to follow

Hope the little one gets better soon - what's she done?0 -
hi Caz - forgot you were horsey - need to come find your diary
might get some tips.
I say little one but she is a 16hh TB (other one is 16.3 TB but rides like a 18hh - huge stride) Little one has been on Regumate (hormone suppressant for non horsey peeps) for past 2 years but as I have stopped competing her I thought I would stop it and see if her seasons would regulate . Unfortunately they didn't so I have put her back on it. Today I noticed one teat very hot and swollen and vet thinks she may have had a false pregnancy with stopping and starting Regumate again. None the less apparently needs antibiotics. Luckily I have used my vet for 11 years and have a very good relationship with her. I took photos and has said def mastitis so give bute and antibiotics - if not cleared in 5 days may need penecillan injections! I have had this horse 10 years and she is my baby - I feel awful. She is only 14 so not like an older mare that may more commonly get mastitis? I just hope its not going to be a recurring thing0 -
Hi LAM - hope the little one feels better soon. They're such a worry when they're poorly. I've currently got my two little ones feeling very sorry for themselves and I feel so helpless x0

Ouch, poor girl
Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery and no recurrences.

Thanks Caz - she seems a little down and wouldn't eat her breakfast today so had to syringe the antibiotics in. Swelling no better but no worse.0 -
Ok Sunday already - yesterday was a spend day (vets) and today is weekly grocery shop so going to do my menu plan and make a list before I go. Also need fuel today but a friend has given me a 5p off a litre slip as she doesn't have a car.
I do a lot of contract work as well as some self employed work - Jan is a very busy month so I am working all week this week - 2 days off site so need to be more organised than last week.
Need to do a few hours self employed work today as well as I am nearly finished a particular project which means I can bill them.
Pay day a week tomorrow so going to check my bank balances, spreadsheet and after todays spends transfer anything left to the loan account.
Just doing my Swags - nearly at target then I best get a move on.0 -
