    Kitchen day

OH forgot to tell me that he had arranged for the british gas man to come and do our yearly gas safety whojamabob...he rang me saying "Just had a call to say he is about three minutes away in his van so you might want to tidy the kitchen". Umm...thanks?

I chucked all the dirty dishes (a backlog has built up due to me being out last night unusually) into the oven in a panic, then it occurred to me that he might want to delve in there :o Luckily he didn't! Wiped the surfaces nearest the boiler in double-quick time and the doorbell rang.

Anyway, I now have an oven full of dishes to contend with and I've done none of it. I'm also hungry but no suitable cutlery left (we only keep 6 knives, 6 forks etc and OH can use three knives just to make a sandwich somehow) so only had a banana today. I think today can safely be written off as a failure. Need to get those dishes DONE!

I have lost the will to live today and am considering saying fluff it and we'll have chippy for dinner.. I feel like poop and no one else will cook and I don't want to eat anything anyway.. why have I not lost 3 stone???

I might live up to stereotypes and have myself a nanna nap lol

I've fed the TD and done nothing else.. other than podiatry, orthotics, 4 school runs with 1 more to do and my sisters Christmas shopping.. she is compiling me a list of stuff she wants me to buy while out.

I think Dot has her 2 year check tomorrow, though I might have cancelled or it might have been last week.. either way it is a ginormous waste of time..

suppose I should show willing and start dinner.. :(

    Hi all

Just trying to catch up. So much for a quieter week at work ;) still, just tomorrow (from home :T) then I am done.

Picked up some milk and bits and bobs on way home - don't think we need anything now other than the gammon (will pop to market tomorrow) and some salad bits and dips which we'll pick up on Monday.

Will go get littlies in a mo, and hopefully can wrap DD stocking fillers tonight.

WM is on, but other than MIL sorting the kitchen for me this morning :A not much flying is going on... :o

I've run out of time on the Christmas card front, and very happy about it. I'm emailing and messaging everyone I want to pass on merry things to, and I will be writing a few, but this year I'm taking an axe to the old list.

    Very liberating.
    Better is good enough.

screaming when you have a sore throat and lost voice is not only incredibly painful it is totally futile as you just make this stupid squeaky noise...

And.. I bonked the cat on the head with an empty kitchen roll tube...

Decluttered group BD appointment yesterday, was actually most useful session I have had.....two potential schools visited today, spent the whole afternoon trying to sort DD2 uni accommodation for Sept 2014:eek::eek::eek: missing safety certs and stuff, does not inspire me with confidence....the sofa was disassembled ready to hoover and that was yesterday and it is still no nearer getting done.

I will hopefully have something to report later on hugs, sticks, spoons, rockets for backsides as required

I'm in! Busy few nights at work. Now off until Sunday night.
My hip which has been giving me grief did an almighty click on Saturday night and since ten, it feels almost normal again. No pain, just a few muscle twitches going down the leg. I think I may need to make an appointment with the quack in the new year to see how to manage it.
Will crack on with the lists in a big way tomorrow :)
Glad puss cat is eating now Natty.
Posi vibes for everyone who needs them xx
