Thanks Dusty. DS has been home a week (with a bag full of hard sums to complete) and we collect DD on Saturday. Can't wait to have us all back together.

    Morning all.

DD kept me awake last night with her snoring...from her room! When I did sleep I kept waking up due to bizarre dreams. So I am running on about 4 hours sleep max again.

However, DD's room is very tidy. She's making her bed every day and tidying up so I don't have to go in there incase I find my pressies which are hidden under her bed :rotfl: She's chuffed at being able to go to the shops on her own for them on her way home from school. :) Ex will be pleased as well as it means less shopping for him to do with her :rotfl:

Bathroom is looking good, my room is mainly looking good but all the gifts are in there, 6 boxes of decorations and the laundry so hard to keep it looking any better. Livingroom is covered in bits of tree and mud and there's work stuff/Christmas shopping related stuff but otherwise it doesn't look to bad. Kitchen is presentable as well, except for the washing up.

So far today I've put some laundry away, WM on, TD is on as well with sheets that DD was supposed to switch on on Sunday  I've also ordered DDs Christmas clothes (Finally managed to get the dress she wanted :D:j) and done a batch of dishes. Now going to update accounts and head out to return DD's gift which was broken.

Hopefully I can do some of the list tonight when I get home with DD's help. Now, its time for another coffee to keep me awake!

Podiatry sorted.. new orthotics for the girls and more concern about Moomins hips.. I collected her new boot from clinic too on a different site of course! And arranged an appointment for the raise height to be checked.

Car service rescheduled for 2nd January so OH can take Squeak to her carol service with nursery.

I still can't speak though I can make a tiny squeaky noise now so that might be improvement lol.. it is so frustrating to not be able to speak audibly! OH is doing a lot of running upstairs to tell people to do things lol.

Early bedtimes for the girls tonight they are all shattered.

I have a few quids appeared in bank so hopefully my food shop on Saturday should be ok.. :)

Hi all; I've put a loaf to do in the BM, constructed a Shepherd Spy, washed up all the detritus from these, and been to the Paste Orifice on the mobility buggy; now let's have a look at today's list.
Tuesday - kitchen and dining room

    15 minutes .....

Clear and sweep/mop/hoover the floors Done yesterday - I did the whole bungalow.
Clear work surfaces and table Done; apart from BM is on the table, working at the mo.
    30 minutes to spare....
Wipe the work surfaces Done, after constructing Shepherd Spy
Clear and clean window sills Cannot do:( - I can't reach the sill. But Mr LW did it all over with bleach a few days ago:A
15 minutes wiping anything that is grubby Will have a look for something to clean.;)
    Got an hour....
Wipe out the fridge, use up anything you need to Wiped out thoroughly before we stashed the major amount of cheese from the Farmers Market; spills are wiped as they happen; drawers done a couple of days ago. Contents all organised regarding "using up first" items.
Put away anything on the worktops you don't need for the week to give space for cooking/serving Done as a matter of course - I can't stand unnecessary clutter on the worktops.
HHMe time before we run out of time Unlikely to happen.:(
    Extras

Meal plan (noting the above) right up to the 27th if you can Needs doing - need to get Mr LW to sit down with me, as I like to have his input. We currently have a plan up to 22nd.

Fill up your salt and pepper pots, have you got things like mustard, mayo, cranberry sauce etc? Do you have foil etc? P& S are full; other condiments all present and correct, as a matter of course.

Is all you table linen ready for the big day, extra cutlery and plates clean and to hand, don't forget a pile of tea towels for your helpers! All ready for use as a matter of course; we use Mr LW's Mum's Royal Albert china for all eight Sabbats thoughout the year.:o No extra plates or cutlery needed, and only normal amounts of tea towels as there'll only be the two of us plus Lizzie Spaniel.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I'm with you on that one LameWolf - for two different health reasons I cannot reach far enough forward to do many things and should not stretch above shoulder height either. (so no washing line for me).
I always say I wish people could have Inspector Gadget extendable arms LOL:rotfl:
Perhaps that's why I have just been balancing on the bath edge and toilet seat cleaning my bathroom tiles!!!!! Having to rest as Karcher ran out of battery half way through!!!! Cup of coffee in order I think!

Anyone for HHC at 3 pm?

  • Hi everyone,

Flying so far today has been:

    - writing and posting most Christmas cards. Bought stamps for the rest - just need to phone a friend to check an address - address book is MIA

    - food shopping for tonight - OH wants to do a supermarket shop, but not convinced it'll happen - he's been talking about it for nearly a week!

Glad its kitchen today, the fridge really needs to be blitzed before I start filling it with Christmas goodies.

And I must spend some time on the living room. I'll feel guilty if I can't post some progress with that :rotfl:

    Happy Tuesday everyone :)
