Where is Wednesday's list?
We've got half the family coming today as they are away for Christmas. They want a hot buffet so I am running round like a headless chicken!

Boys away, kitchen still tidy and LR, DR almost there so final push in there today.

Other than bits still on my list

Pop to school with gifts/collect calendar
Sewing machine - scarf and cushion then put away
Write the last few cards - DH and DS3 can deliver on the weekend
Make Christmas pudding
Send a few governor emails

just need to declutter DS2 and get on, not got anything major planned today just work and DS2's school disco run tonight so should be able to clear the lists so far,

Monday Downstairs (minus the kitchen) including Rooms of Doom
Last minute check on presents - have you got everything?
Dust all dusty areas
HHI - especially for those on the challenge
Finish writing cards

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
Clear and sweep/mop/hoover the floors
Clear and clean window sills
15 minutes wiping anything that is grubby
Wipe out the fridge, use up anything you need to
Put away anything on the worktops you don't need for the week
Meal plan (noting the above) right up to the 27th if you can
need to iron the table cloth and napkins wont do that till next week

Wednesday - Say your prayers today is all Upstairs
15 minutes .....
Declutter floors - either put away or into a box or bin bag so at least it's tidy
30 minutes to spare....
Hoover/sweep/mop all upstairs
Clear and wipe the window ledges
Got an hour....
Strip, wash and remake all beds
HH Wrap or HHI
Dust all dusty bits
Extras
Water your house plants
Do some baking

Morning!

Kiddies away to where they need to be. DD has gold lametta tied onto her "pickle tails" bobbles, so thinks she is Rapunzel. Bless her. Last day of paid stuff today, so really need to pull myself together and concentrate. It shouldn't be a long day, I technically owe 5hrs, but suspect I will do more than that.

I do need to visit the loft, and try the market again, hopefully the butcher will be there today.

I've had a quick tidy round downstairs putting bits away while kettle boiled, just having :coffee: then will get the old grey matter ticking over...

Morning all. I'm in again. I have been lurking but not keeping up totally with the thread.

Well, I have to say that since last year's ironing challenge I've not let the pile get too big so the basket is currently empty. Go me!

I've been off list this week but most rooms have had a quick going over so I'm not going to stress too much.

I haven't sent any Xmas cards for the second year in a row, nobody seems to have noticed!

Right paid stuff now, I may take a peek at the lists later if I have time.

Morning all.

After running around like mad yesterday I've decided to stay at home today and get organised. I feel awful. I'm full of cold, have a hacking cough and I feel sick. I've got to start feeling better soon as its DD's carol service tonight. She's already missing out on one on Saturday as she's out with Ex. We said we could re-arrange visits so she could go but she said she doesn't want to perform in a proper public concert. Apparently performing in church and carolling in the shopping centres is scary enough, but to perform in St Georges Hall at a "Celebrate a Life at Christmas" concert is a whole other ball game.

I need to get DDs gifts sorted out and update budgets to see whats what. I know I still need to buy a bottle of cola for DD for her goodies hamper, but I'll get that tomorrow while she's at school. I also need to get my uncle something else tomorrow. Need to sort a couple of other bits but I can't say what as I know family read this thread

I've just had to email a company who decided that since one item is out of stock they're going to hold my order until it is in stock and then send it all out together...in 7 days time :mad: Its all Christmas gifts and I put that in the notes section on the order. I have never heard of this happening before with a company. :mad: I've also told them to contact me via phone if there are any further problems as I won't be able to check my email for a couple of days and all the items are Christmas gifts.

Then the shoes that I ordered for DD are out of stock so I need to find some others. She wants to wear my wedged boots but they will not go with a skater dress as they're designed to be work with smart trousers :mad: Personally I think she just wants to wear heels as she'll then tower over all the immediate family females including me. I'm still pushing for ballet pump things as flat as possible, and I'll wear the wedges :rotfl: In addition I still haven't managed to find a decent top I like for Christmas Day, so I need to see if I can get something ordered today! I tried the shops, they were all either awful or not in my size

My tree looks awful. I have no idea whats wrong with it. It just look poop. I'm going to have to strip it back, and try again. Sometimes this takes 5 attempts until I'm happy with it.

I need to sort out my grocery order which is getting delivered Sunday. ATM we're getting a lot of UHT milk and some frozen veg :rotfl:

I have £200 worth of work stock to box up and sort to return due to customers not paying. :mad: The deadline was last night, I am not delivering now, they were all warned both when I gave them the catalogues and again when I put calling cards through, and those who I had to leave a calling card for I put on it "must be paid for by Tuesday 17th or it will be returned". I also have an order for work to put through, fortunately its just work stuff, no customer orders so it'll take no time at all.

I am going to put something on to watch, and dig out DD's gifts to see what I've spent and what is left to get. Proper housework will have to wait.

Realised I'm going through the poo time of year which is why nothing is getting done. Have decided to just distance myself from people. Im fed up of one sided friendships.

Tiny has more jabs today which clashed with big ones assembly so I cant go to that. I do hate her school they dont understand that people have lives and work etc. Telling people on friday about a Wednesday assembly does not count as notice. Big one isnt too phased though, she has a party tonight at youth club so looking forward to that. Will have to see today if any of my ebay items turn up they really should have been posted itll be a week tomorrow.

Good morning, nice and early for me. Although that might have something to do with DH working from home today..ugh!! That's two days in a row I've had to get up early..lol

Thank you Dusty for the thread, and I may actually get some of it done this week Well that is the plan anyway

Anyway he is having a conference call in our bedroom and I am banished downstairs with all the animals..oh joy!! Ninjakitten is doing my head in, she won't stop prowling around as she wants to go to bed upstairs..lol. The others have all curled up in their respective places downstairs and are snoring away

Ollie went to the vet nice and early yesterday morning, actually we were the first in just after it opened He is okayish, lost more weight since his teeth removal last Friday and she found a heart murmur. Although when mentioning to DH he said that Ollie had always had a funny heart, it raced rather fast anyway. So maybe that isn't new..lol But she did say unfortunately he won't make months. She was very upfront and honest..basically he is dying

She hopes he will make it through Christmas, he has had another Steroid to help him. And I have to go in and weigh him every couple of days so we can monitor how often he loses weight and how much. His next appointment is not until 2nd Jan so fingers crossed he gets through this. So now it is a case of when rather than if But in the meantime he is looking a lot brighter and is doing Ollie things, just wasting away. Unfortunately the cancer is killing him from the inside hence why he looks alert etc. His brain is still in good nick!! And thank gods for steroids is all I can say

Just spoke to the vets now and have had to make emergency continigency plans in case we need to.

Nicki we looked at those connecting lights this year, and we actually talked about getting them for next year. I think they are a brilliant idea It also means you can have loads of lights on your tree I always wondered how the Americans had all those lights, now I know..
Throws a stick at that horrible BD for Skinty, he gets around this BD doesn't he. He's nipping at my heels too and really knows the places to bite..
