Oh gods LW I didn't realise Yule was this Saturday..and I haven't got my log in for this year. Oh darn... Will definately need to get my act together so that we can celebrate then.. Wonder why DH didn't remind me?

Thanks for the reminder. We're off to a party on Saturday, with a hogroast, so I've agreed to take a log - need to get that made, along with a greenery swag for my back door :-)

Going to update my list, then HHC 15:15 - 15:45 if anybody wants to join :-)

I've Dys0nned up a load more Cassie-hair (and probably some Bailey-hair too, but Cassie was deffo moulting more) and dusted as best I can between the [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] tasteful decorations.

HB you remember you suggested not bothering to dust? I compromised in the end, and dusted all surfaces at or below Mr LW's eye level (he's 8 inches taller than me).:o The rest can wait, as we won't actually be able to see it.;)

I've also cleaned the candle-holder we used last night for the Full Moon - if we have a canine guest, I use a tea-light, as it's safer with waggy tails around (it gets put on Mr LW's desk in any case, but I guess I'm a bit paranoid). However, as we're between guest atm, I used a "proper" candle last night.:o

Natty - big hugs for you and your furry friend xxx
Pigpen - you can't beat special cats! I hope you get things sorted about Christmas xxx
Honeybear - we seem to be lucky with DS as people seem to buy his presents in the sales so he does rather well. My friends daughter was born on Christmas day and we always go round first thing to wish her happy birthday and at midday they change to Christmas but then she also gets boxing day for birthday celebrations too.
Dusty - It's always good to be back- I need to try and post more. Do you remember the Christmas Eve my DH suddenly realised at 10pm he'd wrapped none of the presents and it was his job as I'd been in hospital. Being part of this thread at Christmas brings back some good memories.

Regarding lists: Erm......today I have gone swimming, worked and now I'm taking some me time until the children come in from school. Will have a little tidy up when I'm making their dinner. Not sure I'm supposed to do the nice stuff first but it's working right now lol xx

On a roll. Christmas pud made and in the AGA (just need to remember to take it out!), cards all written and that has used up all the sale ones from last year and the ones hanging around from the previous year.

Place looking the tidiest and cleanest it has in ages. Presents wrapping not commenced apart from those which have already left the house. Also need to get my head around food and shopping lists.

I have put my out of office message on :T woot

I'm technically still logged on, but have sent my update (have a call to attend to tomorrow too :() so just tinkering now. Picking DS up from school club at 4.20 and we are both going to DD singalong, and to say byebye and have some chocolate to the nursery ladies.

I have done WM times 2 today, although it has rained all day, so indoor drying.

I did get Santa's stash down from the loft. There's not a lot :o but they do have a big present each. The rest is mostly books, jigsaws and the odd board game. Oh and a hat each. They have stockings too. It'll be alright. I don't want them to think mountains are the norm ;)

Will do some more wrapping tonight...

I noticed last night - was very low in the sky, very yellow, and very large looking!

  • Progress is slow. Had a lot of gibble to tidy up, and decided to do the back staircase which was .... horribly mucky....and not improved by randomly scattered toenail clippings (at least 20) on several different steps...

    Dining Room of Doom...

[STRIKE]Find somewhere to stash the unfinished Lego temple...
    Strip tablecloth for the wash[/STRIKE]
Hoover-nozzle beams and light fittings - cobwebs! - half way round
[STRIKE]Wipe fireplace front and window sills (dead flies!)[/STRIKE]
    Sticky mitt all wooden furniture
Wipe the woodwork (doors, skirtings) [STRIKE]and the light switches
Wash the windows (inside) and glass doors
Windolene the glass on the dresser, clock and mirror
    Hoover the curtains and rails[/STRIKE]
    Hoover behind the radiators
Hoover skirtings and edges - half way round
    Hoover carpet

The windows and glass took ages, but the furniture should be quicker (has been flipped with a duster in recent memory). Am drinking a cold Coke then heading back... 1 more hour should kill it. Anyone joining me?

    MissH xx

p.s. Natty - sorry about Ollie xx.
Pigpen - what a bummer it all is for you.

I have sorted through DDs gifts, ordered 2 from Am@zon which were on my wish list for her. Thats her done then, but I might take her to the sales with the end of the budget for her in January when she gets back ;)

I'm waiting for an update on the order that was being held back. If I don't hear from them by tomorrow night I'm going to have to think about sorting alternatives.

I have budget balances for everyone else ready for the last minute rush round on Friday with DD. ;)

I've sorted money out, transferred money around bank accounts, updated accounts, hopefully when I check my bank account tomorrow I'll be able to see if I've missed any payments :o

I've done paid stuff, everything not paid for has been put through the system to return it. They're now boxed up and hidden in the cupboard. As of now, except for the empty boxes that I've used for storage, there is no longer any sign of my business :D Its all hidden away in the cupboard of the sideboard :j:j

WM & TD x2, livingroom straightened up, and I'm going to go jump in the bath so I will be presentable for tonights carol concert.
