Sorry to hear about all the BDs that are around at the moment.

I received this link via my Moodscope emails - it is a World Health Organisation video which caused me to shed quite a few tears when I saw it.
Sending this with love to anyone who needs it, especially at Christmas time, in the hope it might help a little - if the sticks don't.

    xx :xmassmile

Thanks for this; I am a sufferer of the BD and bought the BD books - I can highly recommend 'I had a Black Dog' and 'Living with a Black Dog' (for those partners who don't suffer themselves but live with someone who does). Got them on Amaz*n.

Haven't flown at all really as BD pinned me down; booked in psychology appt for January and going to see GP on Friday; think she'll be changing my meds as not coping at all. On a happier note kids are happy and excited re Christmas (well, DS is but he's only 6); DD just looking forward to new stuff we'll be getting her but still pretending it's from Santa!

Sorry to hear that some of you are having difficulties at the moment; funny old time of year isn't it. Natty, hope your cat can keep eating his food and you enjoy your time with him.

Kaz2904 it's my DS's birthday tomorrow too! Pancakes sounds a lovely idea; hope you enjoy them. Think you'd better get an early night by the sound of it.

Bossymoo good luck with your wrapping; got almost everything finished today and am very glad too. Put on a good film and you'll be well away!

FizzWhizz sounds like you deserve a drink after the evening you've had. Our school are pretty good and give us notice but I realise we're in the minority. So glad you found your purse.

Right, off to sit down with DH and watch another 'Breaking Bad' - almost run out of them on Netflix now; have to find another good series to watch.

Thanks for the sticks for BD

I was pleasantly surprised not to wake up to blue hairdye all over my ensuite this morning. Took DS to nursery, went to Drs for myself - looks like I have kidney stones and given some AB's to help me sort myself out and pass what I can. Downside is I cannot give DD4 Daisy mode for the first 4 hours after taking the AB's .....DS and DD3 shrieking have woken her up. (my knee made a cracking sound as I was thinking about getting out of bed this morning and DD4 heard it and was instantly awake  where did she get supersonic hearing from?)

Came back to find rubber gloves not rinsed thoroughly enough and plonked on the new changing mat topper thingy on DD4 changing table.......blue and red splodges all over it once I lifted the gloves up, but they had been set down for nearly an hour, so although I tried my trick of perm lotion on it, but the stain has already set......any thoughts I might have had of putting on eb@y when I was done with it has now gone down the drain with the hair dye. I will just have to keep it for many years when I am a Nanny Skinty.

Sink and toilet seat have pale blue splatters on aswell, and no amount of perm lotion or bleach is lifting it. DD2 was not in when I got back from school/swimming run as it her 6th form reunion tonight, so I will have to wait up, as I cannot risk her getting into anyone's bed without wrapping her hair in a turbietowel for the night - otherwise I will have colour transference on every piece of bedding.

Feel asleep with laptop about 2 minutes after I tried looking at family tree last night, so I will try and get in a comfy position for my stones and try again in a minute.

I think this will be my last flying post now until the New Year, and will go back to lurking for a while TTFN

    Good morning all.

Up early this morning to look after DGD2 (aged 18 months) who has a sicky bug. Just hope she doesn't give it to us as an early Christmas present!

We spent the weekend in East Anglia with old friends and Monday in London with SiL; Tuesday was a sort of half-hearted cleaning up day in the utility (still not quite finished :(); yesterday I had a morning meeting 25 miles away and - following an unexpected phonecall from the consultant's secretary - in the afternoon DH had a hospital clinic appointment. The excellent news is that all the consultants who have dealt with his 3 health scares in 2013 have now discharged him as fit :j so we celebrated by going back to the Swedish store for some extra bookcase shelves and a couple of rugs :D Last night we managed to write all our Christmas cards and will get them in the post this morning.

There is still lots to do  before the house can accommodate us, my children, their OHs and all the grandchildren on 27th. Today I must finish the utility and tackle the study bedroom. If I can offload some bedside cabinets onto DS1 for the girls, that would be a good move ;)

I've already made a start this morning by folding the first load of washing, with more to come. Must now prod DH out of bed to help put up the cot for DGD2.

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all who need them, both humans and animals.

    Morning everyone.

What a day yesterday. Discovered I had cut up my bank card instead of old credit card so trip to the bank. Could not get Ozzy in basket to go to vets had to get help. I looked like a yeti with all the cat fur. He was traumatised and I was scarred. While waiting in vets my sister rang. Im trying to talk quietly and she is saying you are where and why. Me answering with a loud whisper. DD was creased laughing. Dashed to cousins then later relaxed a bit at my friends. Looks like others had quite a day too. Hugs.

Will get some flying done today. Sort house insurance, get some shopping then lunch with DD.

Hugs, sticks and chocolate where needed.
