Finished with 10 mins to spare!:j
Relaxing with a cuppa and planning to write Pictionary clues for the DIY crackers. Major job of the day now done, so I'm entitled to some fun time... might assemble the crackers and put them on the dining room table now it looks nice in there!
Spag carbonara for tea to use up left-over bacon and cream. May toss in the last bits of spinach, even if not trad! DH is out at an office do, so it's just DD and me.
Hope everyone has a good evening. Speak tomorrow.

I'm officially giving up for the day now; I need to rest before the pal arrives, and can actually barely keep my eyes open.
I also have a mouth full of ulcers again *waves at Piggers* mainly under my lower plate - OUCH!:( And the arthritic pain in my jaw is bad, as well as the more usual joints - I may have to resort to a dose of Oramorph, which I dislike taking, but needs must.
Thankfully dins only need to be nuked, as it's the 2nd half of the Shepherd Spy I made yesterday.;)
See you tomorrow, folks.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Collected DS2 after a manic day at work, he then handed me a list of stuff he needs for his Christmas party tomorrow -- three Christmas crackers, three paper plates and a vegetarian pizza  Thanks for the notice, school! There is a coop very close but the only crackers they had were £10 for 6  and contained things like nail clippers etc, so not school appropriate. So we set off up the Stratford Rd in peak traffic to go to Sainsbobs and I picked up the stuff I needed, waited for a self checkout as the queues were obscene, went to pay -- no purse in my bag
Sent DS1 out to look for it in the car (knew it wasn't at home as I got eyedrops at the pharmacy beside the coop), he returned 2 minutes later saying it wasn't there. Had to have my shop "suspended" so I could go and look in the car myself, the purse was there (TFFT
) so went back into the store to pay. My shopping wasn't at customer services, it was still at the self serve, and the woman wouldn't let me walk it to CS myself (which I understand as it was bagged and I could've just walked out without paying) but it took TWENTY MINUTES for her to find someone to come and walk with me 20m with my trolley.
I realise it could have been worse, at least my purse is safe and sound and I don't have to go through the palaver of cancelling my cards etc but I did not need this today! I'm supposed to be on the midweek wagon but $od it, I'm having a BIG cider.0 -
fizzwhizz, glad your purse was safe and you have it back, id have just gone for the Margarita cheese pizza. you would have thought the school would get the crackers as the kids could end up with all sorts of stuff from them.
'our' primary now makes each child take their own party food on a plate as sharing food isnt allowed incase of allergies or cross contamination.
it used to be each child took enough of a certain thing in for 4 children (ie cakes crisps or sandwiches) then they just all shared them out buffet style.
you have your cider you've earned it, ill join you later with a glass of something
just nipped in our sains local soya milk was rtc to 38p a litre so ive stocked up.SPC~12 ot 124

Thank you Mrs M-P and  for later!
DH has just text me saying he's bought some interesting "bits" for dinner and he's looking forward to seeing what I can rustle up. I replied by saying that if he wanted a life like Ready Steady Cook he should've married Ainsley Harriott and not me :rotfl:0 -
Fizzwhizz I'd be having words with the school as well. There will be parents who can't get to a shop tonight so I expect some kids will go empty handed.
I gather, from just one term at school, they hedge their bets as they just know some parents will not contribute. I'm a bit fed up of being asked for money I've already paidBossymoo

Last of laundry shuffled, DW emptied, kiddies fed, bath and bed. Call to mum decluttered, just warming some soup up. Then I'll go do some wrapping
I also put some sealant round the bath overflow pipe - why didn't I do this when I had the bath panel off the other day *shrugs*Bossymoo
