  • Just a quickie as I am running out the door!

Skinty, try flash with bleach spray or astonish mould remover on the hairdye, they're much more effective than neat bleach on shifting semi stains. Also, had your DD done a vinegar rinse on her hair? 10% white vinegar to water, use it as a final rinse and do not wash off with water. It minimises transfer and makes your hair lovely and soft and shiny. The vinegary smell disappears when the hair is dry so no fear of smelly like a chippy :rotfl:

Well versed in dyeing with semis, see my pic <-- :D
  • Just going to do bathroom cleany things before my shower then attack!!! Any one joining me for two consecutive HHC at 9? It's the only way I'll get on and get myself off this laptoip!!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Today I am waiting on parcels being delivered. I know 1 (or 2 knowing Am@zon) are somewhere on a RM van, and my Mr A one is with a H3rmes Courier. There's still no word on the problematic order being dispatched except they've made the substitution I asked for since something was out of stock. That comes via P@rcelforce so no idea when that'll arrive now. I can see me ending up in a shop on Christmas Eve finding alternatives at this rate  One thing is for sure, I won't be using that company again.

DD has gone off to school and is then going to her friends once they've finally got their lunches from 5ubway. I've told her to be home by 4pm which is her normal hometime. Her friend only lives 10mins walk from school so no real excuse not to manage it.

I need to sit down and sort out comprehensive lists of what is still left to buy, make sure my bank accounts are up to date and get organised for taking DD to finish the shopping tomorrow. We need to hit at least 1 shop, although I've said to DD I'm happy to take her anywhere she needs to go to do my shopping and I'll just stay outside. Most of what I've asked her for comes from 2 particular shops which I need to go to anyway.

I've decided I'll have a mammoth wrapping session of DD's gifts on Saturday while she's out with Ex. I know they're going the cinema and he usually has her for about 5 hours so should be plenty of time to wrap the 30 odd gifts! Sounds a lot but its mainly bags of sweets & bars of chocolate etc being presented in a new bedroom bin that she's asked for :rotfl: She's asked for them all to be wrapped individually and then the whole thing wrapped up. Good job I don't mind wrapping gifts ;)

I guess I best write myself a list of what I would like to get done today and make a start.

    Thursday:
    Work: order, pay bill.
    Update accounts
Write comprehensive shopping lists (grocery, gifts still to buy & what shops)
    Wash up
Re-dress tree which is looking very sorry for itself
    Laundry: dark, light, red, towels,
Fix DD's blazer (own clothes today)
    Ironing
    Shredding
    Christmas Cards
Put all paint stuff away under the stairs & tidy up under there
Colour hair (although as long as this is done by Christmas day I'm not too worried, its just not been done since July :o:rotfl:)
Sort out the returns for the shops tomorrow including finding the receipt!
    Attempt actual list :p:rotfl::rotfl:

Right, off to make a hot drink, update my written lists, and try to decide where to start.

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Morning

Going to do my dailies and potter around, I have loads to do but I doubt itll happen.

dusty joining the you in the no nonsense mood.

pigpen hope the house viewing goes to plan and ends well.

nicki I too am waiting for parcels, some of which arent being shown as sent. Hope they all turn up at once for you.

    Off to find some washing.
  • Home again, jiggety jig! My first customer of the day has cancelled on me, they have a tummy bug and don't want to pass it on to me before Christmas :A so I'm not at work til 1. Usually I would lament the loss of earnings but today it was JUST what I needed, so I am back in bed for half an hour with a coffee and some tiramisu, just because I can :rotfl:

I too was surprised that DS2 had to take food in for others as well as himself, and baffled by the crackers. His school is in a really affluent area and I would guess that 85% of the mums there don't work so have ample opportunity to drop everything and shop the night before an "occasion" . Anyhoo, all's well that ends well, I hope he and his friends enjoy their Pizza Express margarita ;)

Getting up in a min, I WILL use the next two and a half hours productively!

Catch up on this week's lists, even if it's just the 15 min stuff
Strip our bed, wash and remake
Do the laundry shuffle and put the non-ironing straight away
    Email Sue re: Christmas working
Call DF and get addresses for my "up north" aunties' cards, chuck them in the post

    Ready, steady… GO!!
