I did post earlier but I don't know where it went.

It was along the lines of I want to be in the ironing challenge glad ollie cat is better today and great stuff at the little legs doing their first steps.
  • Evening All,

I've been flying around like a mad woman today as I want things to be finished by Thursday evening and enjoy the weekend before the rush of next week.

Monday Downstairs (minus the kitchen) including Rooms of Doom

    15 minutes .....

Declutter floors even if it's just into a box or binbag to hide away.
    30 minutes to spare....
[STRIKE]S&S downstairs loo[/STRIKE] out of bounds until after Christmas - we have the builders in!
[STRIKE]Last minute check on presents - have you got everything?[/STRIKE] finished those lists on Saturday and just have to wrap and tag stuff now.
Hover and mop all of downstairs

    Got an hour....

    Dust all dusty areas
[STRIKE]Straighten Christmas tree[/STRIKE] Slight glitch over the weekend and tree is still in the loft.
[STRIKE]HHI - especially for those on the challenge[/STRIKE] Did 30 minutes this morning of ironing, it's going down gradually.

    Extras
[STRIKE]Make space for new toys either by storing the old ones away for a while or collecting for charity/ebay/carboot in the New Year [/STRIKE] The Charity Shop loved me at the weekend, I think they have been inundated over the weekend with other people having the same ideas.

Any decorations you do not want take to the charity shop asap to give them chance to sell.

[STRIKE]Finish writing cards or give up on the idea of sending any[/STRIKE] All cards written and sent.

    My own personal list:

To put the ironing away that I did earlier today.
Empty the wash basket and wash all the socks later tonight and hopefully end up with pairs instead of odd ones.
Clear through the food cupboards at sometime during this week, and check for stuff that has gone out of date.

    Happy flying ladies.

    See you all tomorrow.

As I'm currently experiencing something similar here, I feel your pain LW.

Shower room sparkly, superking bedroom turned round, linen settle sorted, vacuummed, wiped out, kitchen swept, lodgers' fridge sorted out, dog walked etc etc. Not one of my better days - major exasperation set in fairly early and dogged me for most of the day until I found The Great British Sewing Bee on iplayer and took time out to watch it. Felt much calmer afterwards, scrapped the rude complaint letter and wrote a very polite one asking for an explanation. Good.
    Better is good enough.

    Hi

So I didn't get much done, but I did watch the concert. How cute. What I could see through other parents keeping standing up despite being asked not to take pics until the end  DS didn't seem to do much singing. I have just checked all his teeth as he spent half an hour with his hands in his mouth...

After work I collected DD and they've helped me use the "iffy" bananas in some muffins that I allegedly promised my workmates after a few wines last week.

    Then I've loaded the DW.

    Thatisall.

    Afternoon all

Lots of catching up with friend and sis done. Couple more presents bought. Food shop done for a couple of days.

Just cooking dinner for DS3 and me and then I need to go and collect this week's rug to try (DS2 can come to help) and finish tidying the dining room.

  • Good evening all!

Before I forget, as well as the usual list, please count me in for the ironing challenge - as a result of last week's good news, I treated myself to a new iron (TBH it was needed!) and it's a joy to use!

Natty & Dusty: Thanks for your respective lists and glad to hear Ollie is doing well.

Bossymoo: Please can you post your banana muffin recipie?

Pigpen: Hope you've got your voice back!

Hope to post later in the week.

    Hi

It's from Nigella's website, here. Just followed the recipe but added mushed overripe bananas (4 smallish ones) to the wet mix and incorporated well. Don't over mix when adding the wet to the dry - few lumps is fine.

They turned out really light and fluffy. Rose well, so don't overfill (like I did ;))

    They're lovely!

Nope.. and I've had 100 phone calls today that OH has had to translate my squeaks to the caller... DD1 rang at 7:30 this morning and said 'oh, I thought you meant you were a bit husky not that you cannot actually make a sound.. '..

OH's pressie arrived.. I am happy.. for 5 minutes. I have also decided my mother is getting a B&Q voucher and a bag of compost and a mini Christmas tree for Christmas so she can beautify her yard in spring. at least it's original!

few more bits to buy but I'm done mostly.

2x WM and 1x TD done..

I feel pretty horrific after a couple of hours out of the house and Squeak had her first soiree into Build a bear and spent 20 minutes watching the 'snow' go round and round... no interest in the bears but she loved the snow lol.

'mini' Tesco shop done for vital vittles ... £105.. WTH!? ... HOW??? .. cereal, bread, milk, bog roll... seriously?!?
