Finish making batch of Yorkshires - now mine are now quite good after my spell in Yorkshire trying different recipes, but do you think that if I use SR flour instead of plain that they will rise even more???.

As a Yorkshire lass, I would say NO! :D you will end up with something akin to a scone :p get the fat smoking hot to make them rise, and half an hour for the batter to "rest" beforehand.

I too am feeling brighter today. We have nothing to do today or tomorrow either :D still in pjs here, only DS has his doctors coat on and DD a sunray dress I made months ago out of a pillowcase :o over theirs.

I hoovered the rug this morning as DS brought his mat down with the roads and roundabouts on. So we have one on top of the other. We might also make paper chains for the conservatory.

Nothing else to do today :D

Too late Bossy, I already used the SR flour. Never mind, resting at the moment and if they turn out pants, I've got tomorrow to make another batch.

Dogs are going frantic here as they are usually walked before the paid stuff, so I'd better get moving.

Oh I am flagging. I am daunted by the sheer volume of packaging I have squirrelled away in the hope of selling lots on e bay. I have umpteen cardboard envelopes so lots are now in the recycling so I have read the last few new posts on Not always right and slurping a :coffee:

Meadowhell was fairly calm last night, actually (I decided to apply the Ikea rule - shop on a Friday evening when (some) other people are doing other things. The worst place was the Pandora shop, which had a long queue outside.

I didn't want a Pandora bead though - I wanted a Troll bead so no hassle. I have had a gift voucher from my class and thought that a bead would be a lovely memento of my first 'solo' class, (usually jobshare) in this school. And I still have money left on the card!

I'll report back on the Yorkshires later. I still haven't been out, dogs have given up begging to go out as I got distracted with odd jobs. Now having a cuppa and an apple and will then go out, I promise.

    Morning all.
Its a 3 sweet coffees for breakfast kind of morning here. My alarm went off at 6am and I didn't get out of bed until well gone 8am :o Going to try and sort my grocery shop this morning, ended up spending last night chatting to a friend instead.

Christmas Cards have arrived :D Thank you all. They're all up on the wall looking fab :j At the same time DD's last gift arrived so apart from the grocery items I'm adding to the grocery shop I'm done :j

As soon as DD has left I'm going to get on with wrapping her gifts. She's currently sat with a highlighter and the radio times. I have a feeling my dvr is going to be filled just with films based on how many she seems to be highlighting. It might have to 'malfunction' on ones she's seen multiple times :o;)

Right, Mr A shop...nope scrap that, ex is here. Time to be wrapping some gifts. ;)

    Morning all

    Dropped DS2 at work
    Took DS3 to squash
Been to l!dl, busy but then it usually is.

All unpacked so having a cuppa and fruit cob and then DH ad I are going to brave M&S, I intend to rebuy one present at 30% off (got it at 20% off but that's not the point) and see if there is anything for DH (he so needs clothes). May look at turkeys/sausages etc in the Sainsbobs attached. Oh and I'll declutter a bag of stuff to the charity shop en route to get a £5 coupon .

Dog walk done, I wrapped up like michelin man and am now so hot. It is a beautiful day, so change of plan for me. I'm now going to spend time in the garden sorting out the shed damage from a couple of weeks ago. Will just hoover downstairs today and leave rest of house till tomorrow and will cook the Yorkshires later. that batter is having plenty of rest.
