Bossy, hugs for you. I think the 'like' on FB is similar to the 'thanks' on here. Its the only way to acknowledge something, but it doesn't always seem appropriate.

Dusty, hope your friend is home soon.

Right I thought I'd transfer the list to here and see what I still need to do. Fortunately I have the weekend to myself.

Monday Downstairs (minus the kitchen) including Rooms of Doom

    S&S downstairs loo
Hover and mop all of downstairs
    Dust all dusty areas

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
    Clear and sweep/mop/hoover the floors
    Clear work surfaces and table
    Wipe the work surfaces
15 minutes wiping anything that is grubby

Wednesday - Say your prayers today is all Upstairs

    Hoover/sweep/mop all upstairs
    Dust all dusty bits
    Do some baking

    Thursday - Bathrooms
Clean the bath and or shower
Clean the toilet and sink, remember the pedestals (front and back)
Recycle any catalogues/magazines etc you have finished with
Wash the bathroom floor and the bath panel
Flick through the TV guide and highlight anything you want to watch.

Friday - end of week round up
    Shine the kitchen sink
    Wipe over the hob
    Clean out any pets/animal beds

Actually that's not as bad as I thought, and I'm delegating all the food shopping to DH to do.

    Have a great evening everyone.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh just learnt the lesson of why you should crack eggs into a cup and not straight into your 4 egg sponge! Last one rotten - whole lot needs to go down the toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooh Dusty, I've never thought of that before. I'll crack them into a cup first from now on, maybe one at a time?

Anyway, another lesson learned this week, is to never hoover up sticky rice. You end up having to dismantle and clean the whole hoover and it's smelly.

CY - yes but I guess from their perspective they have to usher 30 4-5yr olds into their parents hands so can't speak to everyone.

HB - DS seems ok thank you. I asked him how he felt when he wrote his card, and he said fine. He said his teacher asked if he wanted to make a card, and he said "I love daddy and I want him to stay at our house" so she wrote the quote inside the card and he wrote "to daddy" and drew on the front. I said did it make you sad and he said no, and bounced off again :o

Thanks also to pigpen, dusty and Jazee, I expect it made me feel a bit sensitive so I shall remember not to react by posting on FB in future, until I've had time to gather my thoughts.

Dusty I'm sorry about your friend. I hope she's back on form and home with her loved ones before Christmas X I shall be avoiding all shopping for at least a week, except to get some salad bits and milk on Monday.

We are having a duvet weekend. Told the littlies I do not want to see two five o clocks tomorrow ;), I want my own bed at least until daylight, and i want a rest day. DS said "if we play at doctors you can put your feet up and we'll put a pot on your leg" :A :rotfl:

You see? Back to normal quicker than ever! Progress!

  • Hi all

HJ much love to you and DH - pain easing vibes to him
Dusty hugs to you and your friend
Pigpen love the nails & DD2's picture
    LW Happy Yule for tomorrow
Valli fantastic news for you & DS
Bossy hugs to you too. You are doing an amazing job to make xmas as magical for the little moos as you can. (loving the elves btw ;) ) It's always when you least expect it that you get blind sided, if you're still feeling wibbly, just know that you have the flylady collective surrounding you, sending you love & hugs.

Visited Sainsbugs tonight to get the last ish of the presents. They have been wrapped (along with a present from my boss to his wife)

LR, hallway, stairs & landing Hettyed
    DW emptied

Xmas tree lights have blown & tripping out the electrics. A bit annoying as they are only 2 years old.

Thank you to Natty for arranging the xmas card swap, mine arrived today. Please that Olliecat is lap sitting again. HB I was almost in tears reading your card. I'm very touched you took the time to write those words. Thank you x

    Goodnight all

Perk of older children.. Just got back from Tesco.. shopping done.. no drama! The guy on the till was a little bit ... too cheerful... I feel like crap, I look rough as dogs bums and am really tired... do I look like I want to do jovial chitchat???? (I let OH be sociable)

Wash baskets are emptying and kitchen being dug out.. DD1 on tea duty.

Pixie ravenous after our hour out of the house and me depriving her of food all that time!!

One large order cancelled and a few modifications to be made to my food delivery and we may be back on track to having food in the house.

Sorted my locked down bank account... moron bank (craptander) had put my account under total lockdown because... I paid my mortgage, loan, water credit card and mobile bill... seriously.. if I was going to hack a bank account would I really just pay the bills that are paid on a weekly/monthly basis??? idiots!!!! I have withdrawn every penny from all 3 accounts and chopped up the cards.. I am not a happy chicken.

Nextvip slot booked.. OH said I'm silly thinking of replacing our shredded sofa.. I'll see what the 3 I have my eye on are reduced to and go from there.. one of ours has no springs left and the faux leather one is all cracked and pretty much unusable it is so uncomfy.

DS1's phone number switched to the PAYG sim.. that is one less thing for me to pay :D

OH's mother on a bender so we got out of going there next weekend.. woot!!! and life if suddenly looking a little less grim :p
