My Cats gone missing

have any of your neighbours gone away? One of my cats got shut in their garage and as she was shy when they closed it she hid in the back. i heard her meowing when i went out at night calling her. Ask your neighbours to check their sheds too.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Oh no, hope he returns soon. I'd be beside myself if I lost either of my critters. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

A friend's cat recently went missing for 8 days. He turned up in the boot of a neighbours car! The neighbour only used the car for their weekly shopping trip and the cat must have jumped in when they'd come home the previous week. Might be worth asking neighbours to check cars too.
Not a nice thought, but if she's been run over and didn't survive, the local Council Cleansing Dept would be responsible for removing her body. They don't necessarily scan so unless you ring to ask them you wouldn't know she'd been collected
Hope that's not the case and puss turns up very soon.

Shes not been knocked down round here as far as I know as I've been round on my bike. I'll give the council a ring or email tommorrow though to make sure.
I'll put cars as well on my leaflet. Thanks for that.0 -
My cat went missing and I thought something bad had happened but it turned out he preferred to live with a family a couple of streets away.
I think that is common because my sister-in-law has her own cat and frequent visits from a strange cat. The strange cat comes in via the cat flap and sits by the fire for a couple of hours then leaves. Perhaps his owners do not have the heating on during the day.0 -
We 'inherited' a cat about 15 years ago. A really friendly little thing than used to turn up in my garden daily over one summer, as winter approached she more and more time huddled under a tree in the garden. It was clear she wasn't a stray as she looked well looked after and fed. As it got colder we made a little hut for her and lined it with blankets and a hot water bottle. Eventually as we got to the depths of winter I brought her into the back room of the house. When it was clear she was happier being inside rather than out in the cold we started feeding her, but also conscious that she obviously belonged to someone we put up posters and knocked on doors, it no one claimed her. When we came to move a year later, she had moved in, despite spending most time outside she wold come back to sleep and be fed, I felt guilty about moving her, but no one had ever claimed her. I sometimes wonder if she just decided to change owners or if her owner had died and she 'd come looking for a new one (we lived close to a lot of OAP bungalows). We had her for about 7 years before she finally had to be put to sleep. I always found it strange how she adopted us especially as we had 2 other cats that she absolutely hated.0

Still not back, I've leafleted the whole street and the next one and spoke to lots of neighbours. Nothing, absolutley nothing.
I've also looked with my birdwatching binoculars on the railway at the back of my house and theres no dead cats on there.Even the postman is looking for her.
I wonder if shes had a heart attack and dropped dead, fallen down a hole or being chased away. Shes definatley not in the immediate neighbours garages.I'm very fed up.
She has never really been out of the garden so she doesnt have 2 homes.0 -
