My Cats gone missing

My cat has vanished, she never normally goes out of the garden but has simply gone. She went out at 6 am this morning and hasnt been seen since. I've been round to the immediate neighbours and they have checked their garages but she wasnt in them.
I've asked the postman and ridden around the area, nothing. Tommorrow Im going to go up and down the whole street asking people. One of the neighbours said a fox might have got her!
I hope she comes back, because Im feeling ill with worry and feel helpless.

  • Sorry I can't be of much help but I hope you find her soon. If no sign of her tomorrow try putting some posters up with a picture if possible, your contact details asking people in the neighbourhood to keep an eye open, check garages/sheds etc. Is she microchiped? You could try ringing local vets and animal shelters to see if anyone's found a cat matching her description.
  • Yeah shes microchipped, and I hope if she gets taken in to somewhere that they do scan her.

    Xmas Saver!
My cousin lost her cat 8 weeks ago.
She was laying in bed last night ( 2.20 ish) when she felt something on the bed. And there he was dirty and a bit thinner, but other than that he's fine.
    Don't give up hope. :)

I am sorry to hear this.

Have you called around the local vets and left your details with them in case a cat fitting your description comes in?
  • I'm going to ring them tomorrow morning as then its 24 hours. I just think somethings happened as shes not a cat to go out of the back garden. Im so upset I feel sick.
  • I agree, don't give up hope. One of our cats went missing for 5 days, he came back exhausted and with sore paws, and slept for about 24 hours.

We thought he might have got into a van and ended up miles from home, or perhaps he was chased out of his normal territory by a dog and couldn't find his way back.

We put notices on lampposts over quite a big area, and went out every evening in the same area calling him. We also told the local vets and the cat rescue. I think he just found his way home on his own in the end though.
  • I know it's easy to say, but don't worry too much.
Let the local vets know as soon as you can, and also RSPCA and Cats Protection. As he's chipped they'd contact you anyway, but it might speed up the process.
Tomorrow when its light go round the neighbourhood calling her name, and possibly shaking a bag of biscuits!. It always helps me find my two when I want them to come home.
It's possible she's got spooked with the windy weather and has bedded down somewhere snuggly for the night so she doesn't get blown away.
Hope she comes home soon :)

my Giz has a habit of every few months of disappearing for 24-48 hrs!

i would say, keep going into the garden and calling her and shake her box of biscuits. you could put posters up on lamp posts in your area.
