Most of the time a bonus isn't a right so people shouldn't get arsey when they don't get onemustang121 wrote: »Is the world seriously that bad where companies aren't giving a bonus? I work for a major international Blue chip. I want nothing from them save for my salary and i despise most of the managers who work there.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

It's always been that bad. Some companies give their staff nothing extra.mustang121 wrote: »Is the world seriously that bad where companies aren't giving a bonus? Our company shuts its offices over Christmas so we get an extra 2 days' holiday (in addition to our annual leave). That's a very nice bonus. The Christmas party was good too.0

No christmas party or organisation of an event we can contribute to at all
No christmas bonus
No inflation based pay rise, it's just a free for all (i.e. most people arrange directly with their line manager, i personally just approach this subject just before/after the annual performance reviews as that's what happened at all my previous employers, unless there's something exceptional occured in the midyear like a large project or extra quals i've pulled off or something)0 -

Hmm I don't know but I know mine gives nothing, no pay rises annual or otherwise or Christmas bonuses. Mine even goes one step further, at Christmas various suppliers and customers give us gifts for dealing with them all year, the intention is that they are for us, the boss claims all and takes it home, It's never anything major just a cheap bottle of wine or biscuits, he takes all.0 -
Annual bonus is paid in the march payroll, there is nothing extra at Christmas, and usually a raft of resignations first week of April.0

did well this year first decent bonus I have had in 13 yrs, was equivalent to two months pay
Also got some wine, and we had an all paid for party0 -
Used to get an xmas bonus but they stopped it a number of years ago and just increased the staff discount and the period when the staff discount would apply.0
